I've been living in Lumberton for 8 years, from Port Arthur. I know after we went to state in the 80's we updated our facilities. I would like to know where our school tax money goes. My taxes are CRAZY in Lumberon..........

Talked to one of our linemen yesterday at church. He says they are a little smaller than last year but much faster, the ball will be aired out a little more and he assured me that Ryan's accuracy and poise will be much better now that he has experience under his belt. That was great news to me because you could see he could throw and had a strong arm, just wasn't consistent. Look for L-Town to open it up this year with a slightly different game. That sounds like Skipper with correct spelling ;D

Back years ago, there was a large cat (maybe bobcat or cougar) I seen on the bank at a canal off the intracoastal near the old gulf refinery. It was sitting in a tree. pretty neat.

I think it states it on this thread, but it says you can fish sabine lake (either side).....and anywhere else in Texas. L.A. is off limits other than stated. Also, in sabine lake on la side, you can fish mouths of canals, but cant go in them.

I am always curious about a person that is giving an answer and then turns to ask someone else if that is correct. You probably get something like, "Yeah, that is what I thought too". Hmmm......... In Texas (if I remember correctly), if you are 83, you do not need a fishing license. I thought that if a person was born before September 1, 1930 then they are exempt from a license. After that date, if a person is 65 or older they can get a reduced fee exempt license (while turning to someone else and asking, "That is correct right?). What time of day? Where you crabing in the canals or in the lake? A guy at work tossed a crab trap into the ship channel near downtown PA a couple of days ago while we were fishing. He went to check it after a couple of hours and had about two dozen big ones in it. I saw lots of them while we were fishing. Hmmmm.......

I have been hearing from this site and a few of my friends that crabs are plentiful right now. I might have to make a fishing trip next weekend and fish and do some crabin :-\

TVC would be better to answer this than me....but here goes........... I think on private property you do not need a fishing license. The code does say public waters. However, if you transport those fish on a public road and happen to get pulled over by game warden, then you might end up in a bind.........

I would never attempt it.....so far game wardens and I have been OK other than. I was ticketed for no anchor light one night fishing in sabine lake (was fishing around a sunken shrimp boat) and my girl and I were wake boarding on Toledo and I didn't have a rear view mirror and it was just the two of us. I have never received a ticket for illegally catching or possessing fish.

OH yea its called fishing, get caught without fishing lisc and stamp while crabbing, you will be given a ticket for 'FISHING without a lisc' ;D Stamp? Saltwater Stamp I believe. Well crap I thought I was all legal. Glad I didn't get caught. How much extra are these money grabbing items? Fresh/Salt and stamp is $45.00 I think
