I do have a question.......I think I already know the answer, but I'll ask anyway. If your kids are to young for a fishing license, you bring them crabbing and do not participate......do you as the adult need a license (or stamp)?? P.S. I have one...just curious

OH yea its called fishing, get caught without fishing lisc and stamp while crabbing, you will be given a ticket for 'FISHING without a lisc' ;D Stamp? Saltwater Stamp I believe. YUP

OK. You did misunderstand my statement. The main thing I would say is different between league and select as far as developing skills go is the fact that in select you usually have all 10 kids that really want to learn v. 4 that want to learn 4 that just want to play and 3 that their parents want them to play. Is that the same 3 that build sand castles in the outfield? Yes, those sand castles bring back good memories when you have coached as long as I have. One of the sand castle builders was a great kid but he was as wide as he was tall at that age. The other day I dropped by one of my favorites, Rao's, and as I was getting my coffee. There was a tap on my shoulder and a voice said "Hey coach". As I turned around I knew the face but couldn't quite recognize this 6'0'' body builder looking guy until I looked at his policeman badge and remembered putting him my lineup. We had a great time talking about our Little League days. moments like that make it all worth it........even the castle builders

The draw back of coaching your son. I had a similar situation in basketball. The problem with LL is you never know what kind of coach your gonna get. I'm starting to feel that if I'm going to spend all the time playing and practicing, might as well dedicate a few more hours and play select. At least you know going in the history of the coach and it loks like you could have your pick if your son has the talent.

This dumb as a sack of rocks seems to one of your favorite expressions. Rather that just throw these barbs out, tell us how many conversations you had with Ms. Palin and what did you use to make your "Dumb" assessment of her. Well, let me guess; you've never spoken to her have you. You did hear some of her speeches and some of her responses to questions. The speeches were good - the responses were not. Now answer this inquiry: how do you feel you would have done being bombarded by the same people with the same questions. I don't care if you answer me, but be truthful in your answer to yourself. I'm not dumb, at least not as a sack of rocks, but I know that had the media been grilling me on the wide array of subjects that were thrown at Ms. Palin my responses would have indeed been sketchy at best and more probably uninformed pretty much across the board. I certainly believe that she was uninformed and beyond naive (I've already stated that) in what she was expecting to take place. But, as some of you are so quick to point out - this is a forum and you can state your opinion in any way that you want. I just recently moved my trailer from Toledo. I was near mill creek on the south end of the lake. If I were going this month, here is what I would try. Early AM: Fish points in 4-8 ft of water. Topwater and spinners. By 10:00am, move to 10-12ft Texas rig or wacky, slow it down. I would also try deep crank baits with a slow retrieve. The bass should be going fairly shallow in the early mornings to feed and then moving to deep water. when fishing shallow, make sure there is deep water fairly close to the shallow your fishing. If none of that worked, go near Texas island and find the beach. Anchor in about 6 ft of water, get a beer, jump in and relax. Hopefully its a full moon so you can night fish with top waters!
