  1. Agree on that…. what is not discussed with electric cars other than being far more expensive, is when more of them get on the road, Uncle Sam is going to figure out a way to road tax you…..Government is not going to ignore that revenue loss
  2. This pronoun thing is nuts….my company actually has transgender training included with our yearly training…… but a strict no visible tattoo policy😂
  3. I've been in this group a very long time. I'm very impressed a subject so many people are passionate about has remained a somewhat civil discussion. 10 years ago this would of had half the posters in time outs.....lol
  4. I agree we are getting closer to a swing state. I disagree with abortion, but I think there are times it should be an option, rape, medical issues, etc. I think that option should be closer to conception than delivery though. However, this particular issue is not for or against abortion itself, but that the SC should not decide it as a constitutional issue. That I agree with.
  5. I don't think this is going to effect either side much. I think more people are concerned about inflation and gas prices more than having the government set rules on abortion. All the ruling will do is give it back to the states.......PLUS.....this was the SC, not Republican or Democrats.....Does this really make someone vote for the opposite party because of a SC ruling? Is it a big secret majority of republicans are against abortion? I hope the SC makes a statement the leak will be investigated and the ruling is being chambered indefinitely until further notice. My humble take
  6. A leaked draft……hmmmm. From what I understand, this is the first time something like this has been leaked. [Hidden Content]
  7. I’m a principle guy, but I’m too dang small to go to jail…lol
  8. It amazes my wife and I that while the population of Beaumont and Port Arthur has not changed much, the traffic has gotten ridiculous. When Port Arthur was in it's prime, and into the 80's, I don't recall the traffic like today......weird
  9. Yea....I called them out. What I want to know if they are traveling from Beaumont to Silsbee to buy drugs, and they get in an argument, one pulls a gun and the other shoots him "in self defense"......does that hold water while on the way to commit a crime, or do you have to be committing a crime for that not to fly?....or can two people about to engage in a crime claim self defense as long as there is no crime against each other?? TVC??
  10. I'm a huge just comply guy, and the license plat told me probably a stolen car. I'm curious to see how the media plays it.
  11. Thoughts? The cop shot the man while on his back, in the head. The media is going to have a field day with this..... [Hidden Content]
  12. They trying anything to stop this......but he got enough money to fight this and bankrupt the opposition.....
  13. If starting a social media platform was easy, everyone would do it..... So have you joined, if so, what is your profile name, I'll follow you. If you have not......it's actually a busy platform with hundreds of post a day......it's having some growing pains, but I like it..... Maybe you should try it out before you judge....
  14. I was thinking the same thing......A few things made me wonder if the dude is just stupid......or maybe smart 1. Didn't pull the trigger 2. Let the cops in 3. Seems to be cooperating 4. Didn't run If it's he said, she said......if he says I was shocked she killed her, and panicked, which is why I covered the body, I was figuring out how I should turn myself in, and the cops came, so I just let them in and confessed...... I could see him not getting a murder charge.....
  15. I can tell you for a fact in the early 90's in PA one night I responded to two separate shooting and one stabbing, and I don't recall any of them making the news.
  16. That was great and you are correct. I let my son stay out until dark in my subdivision in Lumberton 10-12 years ago.....safe community, hardly locked the door. Today I'm in Port Arthur temporarily for a couple years and I purchased a Bluetooth electronic deadbolt for the backdoor (the one we enter and leave the house mostly) because I wanted to be able to lock remotely incase I forgot.....in Lumberton I didn't feel that way. When you started in the police force and I in EMS, you are absolutely correct about small pockets of crime.....I remember certain areas we waited for you guys before we entered a house. The violent crimes we responded to where generally in the same areas.....but generally PA was a safe town.......Today, where I live is not horrible. I hear that crime typically follows apartments, which is why all the crime is happening around central mall and that area. Is there any truth to that TVC?
  17. I just got lectured by a kid on FB, (has to be under 25), that lives in Tennessee because he does not trust the "white man" because we stole his land and freedom......I mean, dude plays Chess and went to a public school....... Here is the copy/paste..... "Why wouldn't we find it offensive. Our people are nearly Extinct like Dinosaurs cause white Americans from 1670s to 1990s the last school that forced native American kids to abandon their language and accents and cultures to be white. My own family hid away from White people in the woods to be free. I have absolutely no trust in white Americans they have done to much to my people. I can be nice 🙂 to them but I will never fully trust them. We fought just to survive and one DAY WE HAVE OUR LAND AGAIN EVEN IT TAKES A 1,000 YEARS."
  18. Not really, at least not yet..... The question is, when do we stop trying to erase the past or conform to everyone's feelings??
  19. and honestly, maybe it was my Parents and the way they instilled the "sticks and stones" ideology , but I have not been offended by anything anyone has done, said or dressed.......and I've been down 6th street during Halloween......
