My grandfather let me shoot his .22 at around 13 years old. We were in the country, but there were houses and camps 1/2 mile away or so. So, until he trusted me I could only shoot the rat/varmint bullets (loaded with BB's).....he would always tell me they could travel a mile......and I always thought that would be a pretty lucky shot since I shot in the dense woods most of the time.

Sometimes it is very hard, but I respect TVC's position and his balance of speaking publically and maintaining confidentiality all at the same time. I would imagine that is a tough line sometimes.

yea, I don't remember staging, but shooting, stabbing, etc.....we would typically not get out of the ambulance until law enforcement arrived......although I partnered with a huge guy named Verne......he would get out no matter what.....was probably my funniest and scariest partner I ever had......he would probably say the same about my driving......I did manage to make it from Park Place to the ferry in I believe 46 minutes.......

We don't live in a perfect world, never have and never will. Medical malpractices cases average about 12,000 a year, when cop shootings are usually around a 1000 or less, and 95% or more of those are justified and never brought to court. Do we hear CNN complaining about that? Working for an ambulance company for 8 years, I often waited for the police when we had a call that was reported violent. A dead paramedic cannot help anyone......

A fight at the waffle house in 1980 would of probably never made the news paper...lol There were fights daily/weekly at the public schools...... in 1980 you had a better chance of being asked to pour your beer out than actually getting a minor in possession.....it typically depended on your attitude.... When you had a bully problem, you faced your bully and fought or talked it out......you didn't tattle..... God, I hope I'm not becoming a grouchy old man.....

While I'm still on the fence about legalizing it, although leaning more toward it now that my son is grown, alcohol is much more dangerous than weed. Plus since it is illegal, buying it puts you in contact with people that may be selling more than weed. Once legalized, I guess that last part won't be a problem.

People are making lots of assumptions about this case. I don't think an attorney would try and cover up a murder for some stranger off the street so they could be charged with a crime....
