  1. Yea, playing to the media and heart strings..... Seems to me, if she wants to spend all of her money on dresses, make-up, airplanes or Lego's, she should be able to make that choice. If she goes broke on bad decisions, she would not be the first or last. If she lives alone or not under anyone's control, she does not seem to be a threat to her or anyone.......She lives in America and is not really "free"......kinda sad IMO
  2. When I worked for EMS, it was the ambulance or funeral home to take bodies away from scene. I worked some horrific crashed, even a decapitation.....I find it very unusual to find a bone. All the situations I had been in, the bodies were typically all together, or in the decapitation, in the vehicle.
  3. TVC, Do you remember Woodrow Wilson from the early 90's? He was a regular pick up for the ambulance service. We would not even have to give St Mary's his vitals, just say on the way with Woodrow. I remember almost wearing out a set of brake pads going to an auto-pedestrian call on blue Bonnet, only to find Woodrow laying on the side of the road drunk, with a broken bottle of wine on the street that someone thought was blood. I was just curious what happened to him.
  4. If you or I are in a company uniform and protest "XXXXX(fill in the blank), it is very likely we will be terminated because we do not represent the company views, and that makes PERFECT sense. If you can protest white supremacy at work, why can't I protest that all violent criminals get the death penalty by public hanging at work? When you represent someone other than yourself, you should represent them like they want.......and even Obama, Hillary or Clinton did not disrespect the flag or the anthem in public......
  5. I don’t worship musicians, but I go to a lot of concerts….. maybe you should read up on worshipping versus supporting……
  6. Did you buy tickets to his first rally this Saturday? It’s going to be a hoot😎
  7. My thoughts exactly.....when I hear about the huge bust and they were pulled over for a taillight out.....I mean, are you really THAT dumb, had that bad of luck, or was that an excuse...... according to TVC, these are not tips
  8. It's crazy to me she is still not in control of her own money,,,,,, [Hidden Content]
  9. Why do we assume every DUI someone has a drinking problem? If I play cards once a week and have "a few" beers and drive home every time thinking I'm sober, that is not really a drinking problem. There is no law that says you can't drink and drive, the law places a limit.....that limit is different for different people......Some people may guess wrong.
  10. That is easy to say, probably politically correct to say, but I personally think a bad assumption. Lets say a single stay at home Mom who has not had a break in a year decides to have a well deserved ladies night out. Goes to dinner and has 3 strong drinks in a hour or so, and makes the decision she can drive home. On the way she reaches down to answer her phone and swerves a little, a cop see's this, pulls her over and she blows over the legal limit....... Is she an irresponsible Mother? I don't think so, she may have made it home fine had she not swerved. I've been pulled over for swerving completely sober.....lol I dropped my phone and was trying to pick it up.
  11. I did not know that.....I thought your criminal history was public info?
  12. I doubt he was transporting his life savings...... Your explanation helped my reasoning of the situation.
  13. All day every day...... I've learned to limit my comments on new stories.......but every once in a while I take the bait.....lol
  14. I've always had a problem with stuff like this. I get the money is probably from an illegal activity, but at the same time, why should he have to prove it was not? Shouldn't it be the Government's job to prove it was from illegal activity?
  15. To our credit versus in todays climate....... 1. We all said "yes or no sir" when questioned. 2. We didn't yell "I know my rights" 3. We didn't refuse to get out of the car or refuse any commands given...... that probably went a long way
  16. My guess there was a complaint, or he was so toasted, and maybe in public, the officer had no choice but to arrest. My guess is 24/7 video recording has had a toll on professional courtesy. Things has sure changed over the years. When I was in High School, my running buddies and I would meet at the end of pump house road (that's what we called it, not sure it had a name) off of Proctor Street extension in Port Arthur. It was in the middle of nowhere, or at least that is what we thought. We had beer (we bought underage, had to know where to go), and when we had beer, we had girls.....lol. So here we are, 16 and 17 years old, 6-10 cars at the end of a shell dead end road drinking, having a good time. About 9pm, we see lights coming, it's the cops, we are SHOCKED.....make us pour our beer out and go home. The next weekend, we do it again.......and again, SHOCKED the cops came........lol....They made us do the same thing and sent us home. I tell that story to my Son to explain when you are young, you make stupid decisions and then repeat them......lol Long story short, those cops could of ticketed us and made our lives difficult, but they gave us a break and eventually we learned......
  17. I still have some questions….. is professional courtesy a think of the past? Was he .08 or .09 or falling down drunk? my guess for an officer to arrest another officer in the same department, he was toasted….
  18. Yeah, he just ended his career with one stupid decision
  19. 8-1 vote......apparently he thinks free speech should be different for different folks...... In a dissent, Justice Clarence Thomas wrote that the school was right to suspend Levy because students like her "who are active in extracurricular programs have a greater potential, by virtue of their participation, to harm those programs." "For example, a profanity-laced screed delivered on social media or at the mall has a much different effect on a football program when done by a regular student than when done by the captain of the football team," Thomas here. So, too, here."
  20. Justice Samuel Alito wrote: "If today's decision teaches any lesson, it must be that the regulation of many types of off-premises student speech raises serious First Amendment concerns, and school officials should proceed cautiously before venturing into this territory."
  21. I work at a Vidor bank and this has been an on going issue for several years. Customers constantly call about not receiving their bank statements. I get at least 2 complaints a week. Old people that still use bank statements know to the day when it should arrive....lol My brother lives there as well, and my sister in Lufkin, me in Lumberton. We all received a few pieces of mail from the same place when my father passed.....My sister and I got all of our mail on same or next day, while my brother received his 7-10 days later.....Vidor's post office is horrible.
  22. All I know is traffic on I10/69 last few years has been horrible......
  23. He speaks some truth, but paints with too broad of a brush. No one should vote based on skin color. No one should label a certain race as 100% one thing, because it is simply not true. I don't know much about the lady, but everything I have heard is positive. and you should never vent on social media...... But the above happens all the time by all races. To me, and I only speak for me, celebrating a person because they are the first of a specific color or gender, downgrades their hard work and qualifications. Minorities outnumber whites in Beaumont, so she had a more than fair chance to win even if you feel racist are in the mix...... Ignore ignorant folks.....they just bring everyone down
