  1. Kinda what I was thinking. I can't imagine how I would handle that if it was my Son. I know I would want to remember all the good..... Still curious as to why......and we probably will never know.
  2. I saw this on Facebook. I'm not sure what to think about it. I'm waiting for an explanation as to why he went in the house and what he was planning to steal....if anything.....
  3. I was thinking the same thing. I was going to make a long comment, but it would be a waste of time.
  4. I honestly try to look at his actions as neutral as I can. Sometimes I understand why he is doing something even though I don't agree.....Other times I have no clue what he is thinking.....This falls under the I have no clue category.
  5. you know they fry the gizzards in the same grease with the shrimp.......
  6. Good Point Dang, did I just say that??????
  7. Come on Prepball......we could use some help.....lol
  8. that is when you make an "educated" guess;)
  9. I was not a "good student" by any means of the term. I would of much rather been doing anything but homework. My parents however, didn't accept bad grades......so I had to do homework on my own or because they made me. I did the absolute minimum I had to in order to stay unpunished. I, like you, always managed to pass.
  10. I'm not so sure what is wrong with STAAR. My Son (who I am very proud of), HATES reading......Hates it....I have to stay on him to get his AR points.....but he has never had a problem with the STAAR test. He scores about average. Could it be I stay on him during the school year and make sure he has good grades? I only accept A's & B's at my house. I do not "make" him study if he brings home A's and B's, and he better get A's in anything non-academic. If he makes a C, it's 1 hour mandatory study time every night, and no week day extracurricular's. This formula seems to work for me. I wonder how many parents don't make their kids study throughout the year, then complain when they cannot pass the STAAR?
  11. Makes you wonder what was going through his head. Why did he pick that house? They claimed he lived in the area, did he not know the guy was armed? What was he after? As a parent you hope you raise them right so things like this do not happen. Crazy!
  12. Good post TVC.......I will add those that think it would be easy to kill anyone would be sadly mistaken. To me it would be even harder if they were 16......
  13. If the vehicle is going to run over the cop it is
  14. My only issue is we have become a society that expects to have all information as soon as it happens. I don't see how you can gather hours if not days of information, process it, double check it, compare statements to physical evidence in a few hours. The we have SOME people who will believe whatever the media reports. It has been proven time and time again that the media will report and word things just to get ratings. So, we will have better information once the investigation is complete.
  15. He pleaded guilty to weapon possession charges in connection with a 1995 murder and subsequently to two assaults while in custody — once slashing an inmate on a bus between court and the Rikers Island jail complex and another time slashing an inmate so badly he required 60 stiches. He should of never been released in the public. After those two incidents, he should of served his full term of his initial conviction PLUS added time for each of those.
  16. It's usually a bad idea to give the impression you are using your vehicle as a weapon.
  17. I have NEVER did anything other than what the cops ask me to do. So, no, I didn't deserve to be shot or killed.
  18. Including the police.... The common denominator in all these unnecessary killings is they were breaking a law.
  19. The singer in my band lost her Son in a work related accident about 7 weeks ago. It really made me think about how lucky I am that I have my son. As a father, I can't imagine loosing my Son. I'm not sure I could continue..... With that said, this article about this young man touched me. From the article: “Relieved wouldn’t be the word,” Adrian Taylor told The Washington Post in a telephone interview. “We are all human and make mistakes and there isn’t a winner in this. You know what I mean? We are both losers.” “We were hoping of finding out some more information because that [person in the video] was not my son.” This Father makes a lot of sense, and as of yet, does not appear to trying to get his 15 minutes of fame. It is worth the read if you want to get a perspective of the Fathers side. [Hidden Content]
  20. I think I lost a few brain cells reading this thread
  21. I have no problem with it if they are trained.
  22. I bet he did not wake up this morning knowing he would have to pee sitting down for the rest of his life.....
  23. It was a good post......I just wish Bandkid (sorry, I will always remember you as that) would be a little more specific and precise with his post. They are always so vague......
