  1. That kind of crap should never happen......   If anyone would have been hurt over that (or shot), I think the media should be held responsible.
  2. Kids that do pranks (and that was a pretty good one) are going to have to remember there are cameras now days.......   Back in the day, we didn't have to worry about that......     Disclaimer: I do not condone pranks that destroy property
  3. I agree with bullets but at the same time we cannot give up our freedom of speech.   Stupid or not, they had a right to have the drawing contest.....
  4.   Slow down big guy......the other part was I was not sure if it was truth or rumor......   If you are going to quote me, please quote all of what I say   Carry on:)
  5.   I did read that somewhere......I'm not sure if it was truth or rumor.....
  6.     I believe you are a nurse, correct big girl?   If a patient becomes combative, what do you typically do? Do you put your safety aside and treat the patient? I know that is not how you are trained.   He was not a stranger to the officers. He had been arrested so many times they knew him by first name. (TVC and I used to know a drunk named Woodrow in port Arthur....I picked him up in an ambulance about once a week.) So, it was a common thing for him to act stupid and want to go to the hospital. They did not restrain him because they did not want to get that close to a combative prisoner.   This story is very similar to the Alfred Wright and Ferguson stories. A bunch of made up and false information comes out and people believe it and run with it. I'm not saying anyone is innocent, but we need to wait until all the information comes out before we decide guilt.......
  7.   This is interesting, I didn't know the officer that was charged with the murder was black.     [Hidden Content]
  8.   Yes, it's a fact......I mayor is on video telling everyone.....   They charged one with second degree murder and the rest with lesser charges.........   They will probably never prove it was intentional.....but even so, he could get up to 30 years......
  9.   I have to.....just don't know if that was rumor or has any truth to it. The Mayor did not mention it, so it makes me think that part may not be true......
  10.   So, he should of left the BB gun put away
  11.   I completely disagree and I'm sure his wife and kids would to. I'm sure they would want their Father/Husband home alive and called a coward.   If I only had a BB gun to defend myself, I would be nice and comply and hopefully live to call the police when they leave.
  12.   Where are you getting your information on what injuries he had?   I can't find where the medical examiner has released anything. All I can find is a LEAKED commit that states, " The medical examiner found Gray’s catastrophic injury was caused when he was slammed into back of the police transport van and apparently broke his neck. Law enforcement sources also said Gray sustained a head injury that matches a bolt in the back of the police van, the affiliate reported.   Throat or larynx was not mentioned
  13.   I don't blame the store owner at all......   I would, however, give the good advice that is someone pulls a loaded gun on you, you should comply and NOT pull a BB gun to fight back.   I would also say never bring a knife to a gun fight.....
  14. Seriously, a BB gun??   Why are we not talking about this??  This man was killed trying to protect his business that was being taken from him by 2 THUGS!     Mettha Chandra Kuruppu, a 52-year-old Beaumont man, was shot by an armed robber after he reached for a BB gun under the counter at Pick N Shop on South Major Drive, Beaumont Police officer Carol Riley said.         [Hidden Content]
  15.   Who are you talking to?   No one said running is a capital offense.  If you run, however, you are putting yourself at risk as well as the police who are chasing you.
  16.   Hope you stick around on this forum.....   You will figure out the ones you can communicate with and the ones to ignore ;)
  17.   I think the problem is going to be convicting all 6 as charged.  They are charging one with 2nd degree murder. The rest with manslaughter and lesser crimes.  If they can prove the driver drove recklessly and caused the death, then manslaughter will probably stick. I'm not sure all 6 can be charged when only one may have killed him.
  18.   This was a good post. I like post that make me think......and you are a very good communicator
  19.   and I'm sure you are a great guy. This forum is for debates.....I may disagree with you but I will always respect your opinion and never name call.   I even like that troll Buddy Garrity :D  :P
  20. pe2009........I don't have time to address everything you said, so I'm hitting a few points......   No one is justifying the killing of a person of any color. The problem I have is when a person commits a crime (from j-walking to murder), a cop has a right to detain you and give you a ticket or arrest you. If you run from the cop, he has every right to give chase and detain you by whatever means is necessary.   I'm white and was given a ticket for impeding traffic(I was going to slow), Lets say I got out of my vehicle and ran from him, he tackled me and some how broke my neck........is that his fault? Did I deserve to die or be paralyzed for a simple traffic law? Should we make it a law that an officer cannot give chase to a suspect?   Bottom line is no matter what color you are, you have a better chance of living if you don't run from the cops. There is nothing anyone can say that would change my mind.
  21.   A word people are using to describe how Freddie was injured.......   All speculation at this point.
  22.   post your links to your facts.....     Because currently more whites are on death row than blacks ( [Hidden Content];) .....but there are more blacks in prison than whites (  [Hidden Content];)
  23. Bottom line is this dude became a victim because of his own actions......   He apparently made a living dealing drugs.....That is a pretty risky profession and there is a good chance that you will end up dead......typically by other drug dealers.....This time it was because of something I hope we will soon find out.   Does anyone take into consideration the other side? What about the risk he put the officers in having to chase him?
  24.   I would think the electric chair would be more painful.....   ...the prisoner's eyeballs sometimes pop out and rest on [his] cheeks. The prisoner often defecates, urinates, and vomits blood and drool. The body turns bright red as its temperature rises, and the prisoner's flesh swells and his skin stretches to the point of breaking. Sometimes the prisoner catches fire....Witnesses hear a loud and sustained sound like bacon frying, and the sickly sweet smell of burning flesh permeates the chamber. (Ecenbarger, 1994)   At postmortem, the body is hot enough to blister if touched, and the autopsy is delayed while the internal organs cool. There are third degree burns with blackening where the electrodes met the skin of the scalp and legs. According to Robert H. Kirschner, the deputy chief medical examiner of Cook County, "The brain appears cooked in most cases." (Weisberg, 1991)
