Why are we reaching to find one person to "miss" something just to blame them instead of the person that screwed up? This amazes me......my 2nd cousin was shot in Alanta (23) because he was arguing with his gf and cops were called. He came downstairs with a gun, according to witnesses pointed it at him and then "raised it towards the officers".....he was killed.....and as much as I hate that, the blame lies with him even thinking about holding a gun around cops.......

Probably to not make him a target......all the self proclaimed attorneys have painted him guilty.

You know, here is something to ponder. Like this case, the Sandra Bland case and almost all other cases, we tend to blame the police officers or the race of the victim or police officer. The fact remains most do not know the law. Maybe we need to educate the public what they have to do and what is legal. There has been a heated discussion on a Facebook page, and some people are saying if a cop pulls you over you do not have to get out of your vehicle. They claim it is an extension of your home and you don't have to "answer the door". There are too many self taught legal experts running around the internet giving false information that will get people killed. As for this particular case, the video is not clear enough for me still......I'm OK with letting the courts decide......The cop may or may not be guilty of murder, but this is one of those teaching lessons I talk to my 14 year old about.......do what the cop says......EVEN if he is wrong.....

So who gets to decide when a cops in fear of his life? Who get to decide when a civilian is in fear of his life?

A cop, a banker and a teacher all agree that the video is hard to see and hard to figure out what happened....... but you see it clear as day?

​I have looked at the video several times and for me, it is not as clear as everyone is saying. I'm not saying he was right, I just can't make sense of the video. If I had heard nothing about what actually happened based on news reports, I don't think I could write an accurate narrative on what happened just watching this video. Did he really hand the cop an alcoholic beverage?

Is that the same video grand jury watched?

​When I say struggle, it was short and I couldn't tell what was going on.....It almost appeared he was driving the car....but I couldn't tell when the gunshot went off.....and all I can say about your own, when I was with the Ambulance Service, you had to depend on your partner.....but I was never asked to lie for my partner.....and I can't see myself covering a possible murder, to possibly have me spend time in jail.....

​Instead of dealing with the facts, the article has to mention someone telling a black person to "jump off a cliff" ......First, how is that relevant to the case and second, how is that by any stretch of the imagination racist.....unless arguing with a black man is automatically racist......

I still think the root cause of the "outrage" is the media....... There are many many examples..... It's SAD that we live in a Country where Sandra Bland (who had an attitude and resisted and every fact points to her taking her own life) gets more media coverage, more opinion articles and more public outrage than a terrorist that murders unarmed marines our our soil........

​The statistics and numbers do not support your claim. 11 million arrest and 400 police killings per year......even if all black (BTW majority is white) ....do the math. you have a .003637 chance of getting killed by a cop.....

Very good point.....and in my example, I would have went with the jeans and beer drinkers......my parents were middle middle class.....my Dad taught me the value of a dollar.....He was raised poor on a houseboat....everything I got he made me earn.....and I love him for that

Because people are more comfortable with people that look like them and have the same or similar life experiences. I could make this next example black or white, but i'll make it about social class. I'm a middle aged white dude living a middle class life, and according to my girlfriend, going through a mid life crisis....If I walked into a room of white people I did not know, some in nice expensive suits drinking wine, others in jeans drinking beer, and some with long haired and young doing shots......I'm going straight to the guys that look most like me. My brother lived the segregation black/white at TJ. I lived it when the Asians came to TJ. With my brothers era, whites and blacks did not get along. In my era, Blacks and whites got along pretty good, so good we would team up against the Asians. You can't force people to like each other. We have to understand we are all more comfortable with our own. That does not make one a racist. I find different cultures and races interesting. I probably ask too may questions...... When the world makes it OK to be "you", that is when racism will go away....... My two cents.....i hope that was on topic Buddy:)

This question was posed on PA Pilitics and it really rings true in this forum......with the exception of a few(Buddy is one) Blacks tend to side with the black victim Whites tend to side with the cops Blacks will only post about Black victims.... Whites will post about white victims, maybe not because we are outraged, but because we are pointing out that whites are victims to...... Thoughts?

Yes.....It can. In this instance, that is not what caused her to go to jail......assualt is what caused her to go to jail.
