  1.   This was a good post. I like post that make me think......and you are a very good communicator
  2.   and I'm sure you are a great guy. This forum is for debates.....I may disagree with you but I will always respect your opinion and never name call.   I even like that troll Buddy Garrity :D  :P
  3. pe2009........I don't have time to address everything you said, so I'm hitting a few points......   No one is justifying the killing of a person of any color. The problem I have is when a person commits a crime (from j-walking to murder), a cop has a right to detain you and give you a ticket or arrest you. If you run from the cop, he has every right to give chase and detain you by whatever means is necessary.   I'm white and was given a ticket for impeding traffic(I was going to slow), Lets say I got out of my vehicle and ran from him, he tackled me and some how broke my neck........is that his fault? Did I deserve to die or be paralyzed for a simple traffic law? Should we make it a law that an officer cannot give chase to a suspect?   Bottom line is no matter what color you are, you have a better chance of living if you don't run from the cops. There is nothing anyone can say that would change my mind.
  4.   A word people are using to describe how Freddie was injured.......   All speculation at this point.
  5.   post your links to your facts.....     Because currently more whites are on death row than blacks ( [Hidden Content];) .....but there are more blacks in prison than whites (  [Hidden Content];)
  6. Bottom line is this dude became a victim because of his own actions......   He apparently made a living dealing drugs.....That is a pretty risky profession and there is a good chance that you will end up dead......typically by other drug dealers.....This time it was because of something I hope we will soon find out.   Does anyone take into consideration the other side? What about the risk he put the officers in having to chase him?
  7.   I would think the electric chair would be more painful.....   ...the prisoner's eyeballs sometimes pop out and rest on [his] cheeks. The prisoner often defecates, urinates, and vomits blood and drool. The body turns bright red as its temperature rises, and the prisoner's flesh swells and his skin stretches to the point of breaking. Sometimes the prisoner catches fire....Witnesses hear a loud and sustained sound like bacon frying, and the sickly sweet smell of burning flesh permeates the chamber. (Ecenbarger, 1994)   At postmortem, the body is hot enough to blister if touched, and the autopsy is delayed while the internal organs cool. There are third degree burns with blackening where the electrodes met the skin of the scalp and legs. According to Robert H. Kirschner, the deputy chief medical examiner of Cook County, "The brain appears cooked in most cases." (Weisberg, 1991)
  8.   Best post EVER!   I am a member of a FB page called PA Politics (and I have not been kicked out yet :D ). It amazes me of how many people are justifying the riots......or saying they are wrong, but understand. Understand what? One even compared it to the Boston tea Party.   The fact is Baltimore is looking like a Third World Country right now. It will take the community to stand up and HELP the cops fix this nonsense.     Lastly, I am getting tired of hearing that small crime was not worth killing someone over, or he should not have died just selling cigarettes. Why in the hell are we giving ANY support to the criminals? They should not be committing  the crimes. Our way of thinking(as a country) is screwed up. If it does not change, heads are going to roll......and I have a feeling it will not be the criminals that win this battle.
  9. Went to Wal-Mart last night......I wanted a gallon of Vanilla.....very slim pickins
  10. I didn't watch it live, but got to see the video.....   He is a pretty funny guy......he would be fun to drink a few beers with.   I would love to meet Clinton, Obama and Bush at a bar and  talk about anything non-politics....
  11.   It was "New"
  12.   Next to it?   Might want to take a vacation day the day they push the button.,,,
  13. Obamacare was passed by a democratic congress.......I blame the democrats AND their leader
  14. Weird......two comments from non-locals......   I thought this would create some excitement for the city of Beaumont.
  15.   I agree it is not as dangerous as beer, and much safer to drive on......However.....   It being illegal has kinda made it a gateway drug. Not in the respect of addiction or wanting more, but the line being crossed.....Now we have crossed the line and are dealing with drug dealers that typically expand their business and sell other drugs.....   Weed in itself I consider harmless, but that lifestyle (and I was a part of it for a time in my younger years) is a road I would not want my Son going down. He is 14, in the near future there are going to be many things I am going to have to worry about. I don't want to add anything else to the mix....
  16. "The needs of this school district match my skills set," he said. "I didn't want to be like Jonah and run from where I was supposed to be. I had a few (friends) tell me I shouldn't accept, but if you want to make a difference, you go to where the challenges are."   Frossard currently earns $198,000 as Wichita Falls ISD superintendent, a post he has held since 2012.       [Hidden Content]
  17. and Tee......I know weed is not addictive and alcohol can be......
  18.         You both basically asked me the same question, so here it goes.....   In my experience, you can drink a beer and not be drunk.....you smoke a joint, you are stoned.   People, including me for a couple years in my younger days tend to smoke daily or a few times a week.....it made me lazy and unproductive.......   Beer is something I do typically on a weekend.....or with a meal.   So, in my experience, I would rather my Son drink a few beers with me on a fishing trip, or by a campfire than smoke a joint with his friends.....and even though I don't consider it a horrible drug, even legal I would NEVER smoke a joint with my Son.....
  19.   Tax revenue does not impress me.....   The lotto in Texas was supposed to do wonders for the school districts.......
  20.   Absolutely.........   I'm not saying it's impossible, but think of this.....   If my Son and a friend were at my house right now.....they could....   1. Drink about 4 coors lights 2. Drink 2 bud lights 3. Drink about 8 of those Beer-rita things (girlfriends) 4. Drink 1/2 a bottle of JD 5. Drink an entire bottle of Crown (I would kill him) 6. Drink a couple bottles of wine (girlfriends)   But they would not get any weed........   Other houses may be different, but I would say more parents don't smoke weed than smoke.....
  21.   So, you don't think it's harder to get weed than alcohol?   Cigarettes are legal and many parents and adults forget them at a bar, on a park bench, in someones car or leave them in plain view at their house. When/if weed becomes legal, the same thing will happen....human nature.....so it will be easier fro a kid to get.   Legal or not, people are going to murder.....I'm against making that legal to.
  22.   Comments like below....     Yes I have....    What does that have to do with my opinion on legalizing drugs?
  23.   There is enougth stuff I don't like about Obama, so I don't need to make up anything.....
  24. I'm not sure it has done any good, but it keeps it less available than beer.....When I was a kid it was much easier getting a 6 pack than a joint. At 18, I could get a friend(21) to go buy me a 6 pack......could do the same with a joint, but it had to be the right friend.....the difference is I could also hang outside the store and give a complete stranger 20 bucks for a 6-pack and end up getting it.....can't do that with weed.....   And that is the main reason I am against legalizing weed......I want it as tough as possible for my Son to get....   And since you go bt the New testament   "Envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God".   And I would think you want everyone to go to Heaven......
