Police Officers...Are they being treated unfair?

That is why he is an athlete and not a professor. -
I posted some information on another thread and it seemed to either get lost in the messages or ignored......So, I thought it would get its own post. There is a lot of negative information about police officers since this Furguson incident. So, I did a little research and this is what I came up with. On average, local police forces kill 400 people every year in the Unites States, according to a seven-year FBI study. About a fourth of those annual incidents — about 96 a year, or two every week — involve a white officer and a black victim, USA Today reported. So, of all the officer shootings only 25% involve a white officer and a black victim........... There was 11,078 gun involved homicides in 2013......96 involved a white officer and a black victim...that's .86% of total homicides in the U.S......the 400 only make up 3.61% of all gun related homicides...... So, are police Officers being treated unfairly? Why the outrage? In Furguson they are trying to make it a hate crime....."that cop dreamed of killing a black man" posted by our very own Buddy Garrity (from a tweet he received) ......is that really worth posting? Again, white officers killing blacks is only 25% of ALL cop killings...... Thoughts? [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content]

I 100% agree

The video shows the reporter being a pain and getting in the way.....and I took it as warning him he was about to get shot with tear gas
-
According to the report, he was shot 6 times.....4 in the right arm and 2 in the head.....it does back up that video and explain why he kept coming towards him, the arm shots didn't slow him down but the head shots did.

Did you skip over the math on how few cop killings there are in my post I made? -
I do not have a college degree, and I currently manage a very large branch of a bank. My management skills were learned in big box retail 15 years ago. I did do the work of two and sometimes three people. That what it took to get me noticed for promotions. If you remember Service Merchandise, I went from a full time Jewelry sales person to Store Manager in 3 years (that is tough to do).....and that put me managing right at 100 employees.... When ever I had competition I did whatever it took to out perform that person.....I would work more hours if I had to, but I would not allow myself to fail. So....sometimes you have to do the work of 2 people if you want to get ahead.

I thought we would look at the facts...... On average, local police forces kill 400 people every year in the Unites States, according to a seven-year FBI study. About a fourth of those annual incidents — about 96 a year, or two every week — involve a white officer and a black victim, USA Today reported. There was 11,078 gun involved homicides in 2013......96 involved a white officer and a black victim...that's .86% of total homicides in the U.S......the 400 only make up 3.61% of all gun related homicides...... Statistics report, more than 90% of black murder victims are killed by other black people. So, I have not heard any comments or post or tweets about the other 304 Non Black police shooting victims in 2013. Why?? [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content]

Depends on if he went for his gun -
I believe those charges were dropped. Fact check me..... I've also said we don't have enough facts to make a decision....just pointing out the FACTS

Tvc...... Am I committing a crime if I go to a convenience store with my friend and he robs the place, assaults an employee and we both walked out together?
-
Anything to give reasonable doubt...... Even the level headed posters seem to be blinded by all garbage that is being put out
-
Did I say he was arrested? He committed a crime (or minimally was with someone who did) and probably due to politics is why he was not charged. I imagine the cop would love if this guy was a witness.....because a guy that robs a store with his buddy always tells the truth.

11:51 a.m. — Ferguson police receive a call of a robbery in progress at the Ferguson Market convenience store. 2:01 p.m. — Officer Wilson encounters Michael Brown walking on a street and the shooting follows. Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson said Friday that Wilson did not know about the robbery at the convenience store when he encountered Brown.

Brown's friend just committed a crime, I don't think his story will be believable....

This is interesting.........Buddy have you listened to this video of his peers? @6:28/6:29 of video #1 How’d he get from there to there? #2 Because he ran, the police was still in the truck – cause he was like over the truck {crosstalk} #2 But him and the police was both in the truck, then he ran – the police got out and ran after him {crosstalk} #2 Then the next thing I know he doubled back toward him cus - the police had his gun drawn already on him – #1. Oh, the police got his gun #2 The police kept dumpin on him, and I’m thinking the police kept missing – he like – be like – but he kept coming toward him

Allegedly Michael Browns Criminal Record. (before you add the store incident) Note the date....not years ago, but months ago..... While everything is speculation at this point, let's just look at the facts we do know. We have a teen who just robbed and assaulted a store manager. Michael has a previous FELONY criminal record. (see below) Michael Brown’s ADULT criminal record: Description: Burglary – 1st Degree { Felony B RSMo: 569.160 } Date: 11/02/2013 Code: 1401000 OCN: AJ006207 Arresting Agency: ST ANN PD Description: Armed Criminal Action { Felony Unclassified RSMo: 571.015 } Date: 11/02/2013 Code: 3101000 OCN: AJ006207 Arresting Agency: ST ANN PD Description: Assault 1st Degree – Serious Physical Injury { Felony A RSMo: 565.050 } Date: 11/02/2013 Code: 1301100 OCN: AJ006207 Arresting Agency: ST ANN PD Description: Armed Criminal Action { Felony Unclassified RSMo: 571.015 } Date: 11/02/2013 Code: 3101000 OCN: AJ006207 Arresting Agency: ST ANN PD The cop has been with the force 6 years with no issues...... I need more facts to make a decision.....

All I can find is that he wore sandals in the store and had sneakers when he was shot. I can not find any articles making a big deal out of that. I would think if it had anything to do with police misconduct, that "key witness", who claims to have never left his side would have mentioned it during his interview.....or at least told his attorney.... Thoughts?
-
What is have to do with theft at store? What does it have to do with confrontation where the kid was shot?
-
Are you saying it was not him in the video or because there is confusion on shoe description he could not assault an officer?
