I would hope the police would rebel with us and use those tanks agianst the military who has more than just tanks😊

People claim the police do not need tanks, military vehicles or sniper rifles and assualt weapons.  While I don't want to catch my local police using tanks to pull people over for speeding tickets, I really don't have a problem with our police department having military weapons to use in situations that would be benefited by the use of them. I think when you have 500 angry protesters burning down private business and destroying vehicles, the cops may need more than a plexiglass riot sheild and a 6 shot revolver.   Is this just more politics ?   Thoughts??

  I really have no problem with the police having military weapons for special use. I have yet to hear about a rougue cop killing people with a tank......and sniper rifles are fine for hostage situations if they can get a hit.   I think I will start another topic on Police Weapons :D

  I agree.......I can't remember how many times I was caught underage drinking at the beach or at parties and all that happened was we had to pour out our beer in front of them.......the good old days.....lol

  I find it humerous that some on this board automatically associate a thug with a black person.  I can remember my grandmother calling the kids down her street thugs and they were white. I don't play the politics, and I know that is what Biggirl was getting at by asking what a thug looks like.   However, black or white, you are FIRST judged by your appearance.

  I'm working, so not a lot of time to research, but my casual reading about Colorado claims just the opposite. It is being found in schools more now that it has been legalized? It that maybe because Mom and Dad does not hide it anymore and kids can find it?   This is what I can say about my experience with alcohol (remember, I am old enough that at 18 I was legal to drink in LA but had to wait 1 year to be legal in Texas at 19)....from 16 to 18 I never had trouble buying beer, and I look young, at 30 I was still being carded for cigarettes. I could always find it if I wanted it.....same with anything else.....I think legalizing it puts more of it legally in the hands of people that will abuse it or sell it illegally........but, just my opinion....

I'm a conservative and I'm against it, mainly because I'm raising my 14 year old Son and I don't want it easier to get than it already is.   I also look at Colorado and see that the legalization is not trouble free. The money they may save on cops is spent on cops and government trying to regulate it. The states surronding Colorado are busy busting people crossing the stat lines....   I then think of how Texas was before and after the Lottery.....I don't see where the schools or roads are any better after than before. Could it be the government is wasting the profits? Who knows, but it appears it would not benefit me to have it legalized......

  So, the guy is mad because his son fit the description of a suspect??  What did he expect the cop to do, not investigate because he does not want to hurt his feelings?   I really have no patience for race baiters.....

I have never heard of going for a limb to "disable" someone when you are in fear of your life.....it's called deadly force for a reason.....and even if you did hit the leg or arm. It would still be considered deadly force..... Right TVC?

    It has been said by many, including TVC, they are not trained to shoot them in the leg. Now, what would really be cool if they were trained to shoot the gun or knife out of their hands.... I have seen Roy Rogers AND John Wayne do it, so I know it CAN be done.....

Someone asked on Facebook why they let the bus travel in those weather conditions. I thought nothing of it, but according to poster, they can and usually delay transports in dangerous conditions.

  I understand where you are coming from....but here is the deal.....the older you get, hopefully the more money you make, but then your tax rate will increase.....and it will be much more than "a couple cents".....add to that..... mortgage, car notes (at least two if married), medical insurance, car insurance, house insurance, property tax, school tax,,,,,,,   The older you get, the more important taxes will be become......trust me, I thought like you when I was your age.
