Yesterday, the Jefferson County Task Force presented evidence to a Grand Jury that in fact Calvin Walker had a scheme to defraud governments and sources tell the Review that the money was then in % basis given back to certain elected officials. And the Task force is well on its way to finding out who and what is involved.   It is alleged in order to get that "opportunity" that the contractor, in Walkers case and others that are coming (surprised look), would kick back the money to certain officials inside the district with cash. Not traceable. However, the cash was flaunted around with purchases of new cars, home fixer ups and expensive "habits."   "My guess is that this will reach into city council members and former BISD members. Some are talking because they don't want to go to prison for the rest of their lives.   I think hundreds of indictments will be handed down at this point. And don't be surprised if it hits the Jefferson County Courthouse," said one source close to the investigation.   Now for you angry blacks out there - because you think they are picking on the black community - we say hang in there. BISD and PA are just the start we are told. Wait until they haul some out with handcuffs from the courthouse. That is when it will get interesting. Very interesting.   Until then - enjoy the show.     Different......   It’s worth noting that there was a difference in the two presidents’ patterns of vacations. As the USA Today article noted, Obama doesn’t own a vacation home, unlike Bush, who owned his ranch. So while Bush essentially used the ranch as as a working White House, Obama has traveled to a variety of destinations, including his native Hawaii.

Maybe because 8 months into his first term terrorist flew 4 planes into three buildings and one empy field.   Then he spent the next 8 years setting up policies to keep America safe.....   He also invaded a country in 30 days and captured it's leader Saddam Hussein.   He was a bad man. During UN inspections in 1998, it emerged that Hussein had had prisoners tied to stakes and bombarded with anthrax and chemical weapons for experimental purposes.

  I never thought we would agree on so many things.....   It really does not affect me if two men get married. So, I have no issue with that. I do think out of tradition it should be called a union and not marriage.   I'm with PAMFAM on the abortion issue.....there are too many variables for me to decide. I'm against in some cases, but for in others.   I'm pro death penalty on certain crimes but I'm against some of the penalties for drug users.   I believe religion should be able to be shared on signs and in public places. I also believe non-religious signs should be able to be displayed in the same public places. I believe in freedom to believe or NOT to believe......   I want to remain a FREE country

  Looks like this DA is serious about accountability and following the money.  Hopefully good things for Beaumont in the near future!

A former electrical contractor for the Beaumont Independent School District and the City of Port Arthur has been indicted for fraudulent billing practices and money laundering, announced Criminal District Attorney Cory Crenshaw today. If convicted, Walker faces up to life in prison on each charge due to the amount of fraud being in excess of $200,000.
