  I agree with that.   Nothing worth getting is usually easy though. Times are getting better! Instead of complaining about the past (that we cannot fix no matter how much we would like to), we need to focus on the future.   And thank you PAMFAM for being able to have a calm and real discussion!

  I actually think SHE is a better example......   In one post she speaks of blacks not being on a level playing field because of slavery......   In another post SHE brags about having 2 degrees and a good paying job.....   So, by posting those two things she gets to brag about how SHE went against ALL ODD's and beat the system! In other words....look at me.....look at me....   Personally, I would use Obama as a better example than Dr. Carson.  I mean, the odds of becoming President are 1 in 10 million......

So, what is the answer? Biggirl brags about her education and how many degree's and what a good job she has. I said or implied nothing of the sort. It is BLACK people like you that spit out the word "racism" anytime someone disagrees or has a different opinion than you. You are the problem with racism! I stand by my statement and can prove it with data....Asians on welfare.....3.3%, Hispanics.....15.7%. My neighbor who used to own the Golden Dragon(7 years ago) worked 14-16 hours a day, 7 days a week. He was from China, his work ethic(and his wives) was better than ANYONE I know....including myself. When I worked construction, the Hispanic workers out worked 90% of the people around them. I guess your to worried about how unfair everyone is, you can't see yourself getting out performed.....

Asians ans hispanics come over with nothing and work HARD......that may be a good business model for some to look at.....hard work

  I agree 100%. They have to be careful, the state pays them per student as well as attendance. They are going to have to figure out the cost of the program, and the cost of losing students to other districts if the programs are ended.

Who said they/we were excited or happy?   It is a serious issue that happened to happen in Beaumont. What I have a hard time understanding is why people who pay taxes in Beaumont are not totally freaking out. Their kids education is on the line. Performing ARTS is on the line. The people of Beaumont are in one hell of a corner and a lot are leaving to other school districts. Did you know HJ was open enrollment but are changing that because of all the students that are applying? What does that mean for Beaumont when the district has less kids?   I also comment about Lumberton being in the news.....if they do something stupid, I will call them out....   I have a question for you......why are you not outraged at this situation?
