1. As far as powerhouses go tho, W.O.S and Newton have widely been known as a powerhouse throughout the state. P.N.G also but only as a "Use to" lol no offense Also Memorial should be way ahead of where they are. Only 1 semifinal appearance is not acceptable with the athletes coming out of there
2. Like I stated in another post, in order for Beaumont teams to even have a shot at becoming a powerhouse they must first establish consistency with coaches, and in order to do that it requires more $$ and better facilities..in order to be the best you have to do what's required
3. Lol true that 2010 Vidor team was said to be one of the best in school history an I think they still can't in 3rd that year behind PNG and Central
4. Stowers probably would have had a central dynasty going,, & once kids would have saw what he was doing with consistency and success Central was gonna be the "football school" of Beaumont . But Toby is a great higher, I believe he will do very well
5. Just a little rant I have lol. But I use to be on here a lot back around 2009, but I started working offshore so I was in Mississippi for awhile. But just some observations. Bisd needs to get some consistent coaches. Back around 2009/2010/2011 all the Beaumont highschools had really good coaches in place. Nelson had Ozen on a serious come up. They had went 3 rounds deep before I left i believe. How do you let him go? Stowers had Central going a minimum of 2 rounds every year and got them all the way to the 4th round, and shoulda been 5 ( but thats another story lol) in 08 with that stout defense. Stump had pretty decent years to, my only thing with him is that 07 or 08 team should have probably been at least in the final 4. That 2011 team was loaded to. BISD wants to win championships but won't let a coach be in place for more then 3-4 years. Look at the most successful programs just around the area (W.O.S, Nederland, Memorial, P.N.G) all those programs have coaches that's been in place for more then 3/4 years Now if coaches are leaving to go to better opportunities then that's fine, but BISD should be that better opportunity for most. Is in a big city with nice facilities and a hotbed of talent . The administration is running to many good ones away. There's no way stowers shoulda left to go go Little Elm when he had so much success here. BISD has got to do better.
6. Yea me to, if they start early tho, I'll probably go to West Brook
7. Does Central start tomorrow and if so what time
8. Exactly I think 1 or 2 times we had 2 teams go at least 3+ rounds during those years
9. i hope he can bring Lumberton back to those days when he was OC and Cody Hussey was running over people. The district is strong with a good Lumberton team
10. Stop before 2011 Central was one of the top programs in the area and was known throughout the State.
11. Idk Cedar Hill is loaded, they may do more than keep it close
12. Heard Cedar Hill is post to be really good and top 3 team by seasons end, so I'm eager to watch them play a national Power , even though they recruit Lol.. And I guess the Frisco game is only on due to the fact there showing the new Dallas cowboy digs , should be a good Weekend
13. Saturday, August 27 Heritage (TX) vs. Lone Star (TX) 1:30 p.m. on ESPNU from The Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas Lone Star was 14-2 in 2015 and was the UIL 5A D2 state runner-up This game will be played at The Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, which is a first-of-its-kind venue shared by the Dallas Cowboys (practice facility and world headquarters) and Frisco Independent School District Bishop Gorman (NV) vs. Cedar Hill (TX) 9 p.m. on ESPN2 from Longhorn Stadium at Cedar Hill High School in Cedar Hill, Texas Bishop Gorman is the two-time repeating “National Champion,” ranked No. 1 by USA Today; they enter the season with a 39-game win streak No. 72 QB Tate Martell returns for Bishop Gorman, along with No. 112 DE Haskell Garrett, No. 151 CB Alex Perry and No. 208 S Bubba Bolden (USC) For Cedar Hill, No. 140 QB Avery Davis (Notre Dame) leads a talented team that looks to make another state finals appearance after missing out last year for the first time in the last four years
14.
The 1985 Yates Lions were the greatest defense tx has ever seen.
Over Daingerfield 1983?
I'll only go with Yates since they where in a bigger classification, But that 83 Dangerfield D was one of the best Defensive Units I've seen..85 Yates Was overall really good, Offense and Defense.. SETX has really seen somne really good Defenses from W.O.S to BMT.Hebert to P.A Lincoln or SFA but ill go with the that Hebert Defense from the70's (forgot the year) talk about Salty, I think they could have went against anybody in the Nation in thoes days also that French team had a very good D in 84
15. Since Ive been around an old enough to remember, W.O.S, H-Yates, and Odessa Permian have been the best Teams Although as of late Yates hasn't been much but back in the day before all those HISD schools Yates could play with the best of them An Yes W.O.S does have the all-time Winning %
16. Yea, Centrals numbers have been Climbing steadly.. I figured they would have been at 2,000 by now though... How many does Ozen have???
17. A young eager coach, who has experience under hi belt and is from a winning program..This may be a really good thing for Central.. Plus he's use to these type of caliber athletes coming from W.O.S so I expect to see Central getting back to its winning ways..Very good coach, and he really does connect well with the players.. My nephew who graduated from Central in 2011 said him an foreman had a coupe of conversations while he was in highschool ecspecialy at the track meets, an I heard nothing but good news about him...Im excited for the future here in Jag land.
18. X-Central coach Your not the first person I've heard this from. I heard the OC had his hands tied because of Washington. I know some people think that we didn't have the coaches but trust me Cox had a great Offensive mind, but when the head man tells you something you gotta do it. Ever since Stowers left is been a slow air leak, that finally came apart after they 2010 season was over. They can say what they want about him but Stowers knew his X's and got the people in who knew the O's and he won. I feel if he would stayed that 2009 and 2010 team coulda went way farther then what they did.. Ever since he got to Little Elm they haven't missed the playoffs yet. Washington is a great guy don't get me wrong, but He just was to conservative and old school. He didn't take chances. If you think that was his Idea to fake the FG against Huntsville In 2009 your wrong. He didn't like to  throw the ball or anything, but he liked running the spread??? what kinda stuff is that they should of just stuck with the wing T. I could go on and on but that's the pass and theirs nothing we can do..I just hope we get it right this time.
19. I recommend going out of the area for a coach...The only coach around SETX I could see is Coach Arthur Louis, Where ever he goes the teams win and that's at Ozen in which they we're one of the best and made playoffs every year...Then when he was at West Brook they fielded IMO some really good teams (Micheals, Coleman, Reed, Williams) all those guys..I feel He would do really well with the Talent Central has, as long as they give him full control over the program (unlike what they did with Stowers)
20. Did He really Get fired?? I haven't heard anything about dis?? But If so, I knew it was coming, Im not saying Washington is not a good coach, because he has as much experience as any HC should, But I don't think he is a HC..Great man, and would be a great advisor but after that Humble game 3years ago When he said "Humble was just the better team" I knew Wash wasn't going to be their long...Then the year before that to get blown out by Friendswood with the amount of talent that team had was just coaching..If this is true I wish coach Washington the best cause he is one of the best people you could meet but If Central/B.I.S.D wants things to turn around they need to put their feelings to the side and make a business decision..
21. Come'on Jags cant remember the last time We have'nt made the playoffs in consecutive seasons..Lets get this win an worry bout all the other stuff later
22. Smh, hate to see Central going down this road.. Sounds to me like the 4th down call to punt in the 4th quater with 2mins was the same reason the Jaguars lost 3years ago..Washington did the same thing an they lost that game 10-7 I think..It was just the talent on that team that got Washington to the 3rd round and a good record
23. I could see one losing season, but I dont remember Central ever going two seasons hoping to win a game. Thats just not our way at Central. We've always had at least enough talent to win 4-5 games on our worse year. But I agree with my fellow posters, Ever since the staff lost that game to Humble and blamed it on the kids, its just been downhill for Central.. I hope Central wins. I dont want to see my Jags go defeated the whole season, but at the  same time these coaches got what was coming to them. Central in a slob fest 24-21
