This brings me baq to my point, How do we let a coach that goes 4 rounds, (Stowers) get away the next year..

And as far as other sports Ozen girls and boys basketball program is the king around the area  an is a threat year in and year out to go state also their girls track program is one of the top in the state along with Centrals boys track program and WB baseball. I also heard that Beaumont was on the rise in population, did I hear wrong?? He had at the very least, 3 good recivers and 2 good backs to get the ball to and take the pressure off him. He was surronded by playmakers. Last season and seems the same this season, he doesnt really have alot of players around him which is rare for a central team. Ive seen the kid play ball and throw. He has all the mechanics to be a great one. Just no one to get the ball to.

wow has central hit rock bottom?? Is the talent still their like it is year in and year out?? Do I have to move back to Beaumont because since Ive left we have not been takeing care of business

Well both teams need a rebound win after last week, I think it will be close but PV has an explosive offense from what ive seen and heard but Lamar has potential just took on a really good ULL team. I have P.V 31 Lamar 28 I feel Lamar may take this win becaues their at home and the crowd will help them, but My gut is telling me PV.

Yes, IMO they do..D1 and D1-AA coaches Flock to this area of the state every year...Lamar is in a hot bed recruiting area, and yet we go all the way to New York to get players (Not saying their not good or anything) but You have top talent kids here that you over look and other schools come in and get.. I feel we should do better at getting and keeping local talent here..Not only would it make the team better but the Attendace of games, caues familys want to see their kids play.. Just my two cents

Does anyone remember the 1st season the Beaumont bulls played in the Tifi?? I think it was 2003 or 2004 And they had a Undefeated Sophmore Team and a Junior team that was pretty good, and I was wondering where thoes players are today??

Central had at least 3 that could have went to state ( 03,05,08 ) Once the right coach comes in that knows how to coach these type athletes, their will be more 4th and 5th round apperances, then just every blue moon, and  3rd round would be the norm..

wow, this thread is a joke, do you really think Carrol Thomas is the reason Of coach stump leaveing you obviously havent seen what he has been doin in BISD..for example the new multi-million stadium or nice schools we have..

COACHING,,Thats what seperates SETX from the rest of the State.. Im not talking about every team, but most cause we in SETX are not willing to pay top dollar to win..we think we can pay sub par and get a good coach..Sorry but not in todays society.. We have the athletes and players, no doubt..Ive talked to many coaches and they say some of the best ATH in the country come from this area, we just dont have the coaching,,How do you think Lake Travis wins every year, it sure isnt by the athletism of the players..Its coaching that puts them in good Position.. Also Steele didnt have the athletism as Memorial but they were very well coached.. they had one or two good athletic players, but Memorial had about 6 on both sides of the ball its just coaching..

Nah, Sgt Dallas Skyline has had so much talent the last few years, it was just a matter of time until something would have to give,..I have them winning state this year

[/quote] Let's not forget the 89-90 Central Jags.  They were ousted by Angleton in the Area round during my Senior Year and my Post-Senior year ( 90-91 ) to Aldine Mustangs in Bi-District round after shutting down six of ten teams during the regular season. This is not the La Marque team from back in the day that rolled over Central in Deerpark..Dosent mean They'll just roll over and hand Ozen the "W", Ozen has to play a very good football game and stay away from the mistakes..Im very impressed with Ozens D, if they play like that this week I see ozen pulling another one out..

This remeinds me alot of the year central beat BH and met Brenham in the 2nd round, but Brenham is not as good as that team was, I think Ozen turns alot of heads with this game, they have to good athletes but its going to take more then that to beat brenham, hopefully Nelsons gets his panthers heads right, seems like their peaking at the right time
