I gotta admitt I just moved here from Chicago at the begining of this season for work and the BEST Chicago area team couldnt stay on the same field with the worst from any of these local teams. Ive always been interested in the whole Texas friday night lights stories and i was pleasently surprised to find out first hand its all true. Also I have to give props to the local parents and communities for their support. In Illinois your lucky if half the parents make the games. Mid County Madness???? WHAT??? Nobody baack home believes me when i say there are 10-15 thousand fans at high school games. I plan on traveling and trying to catch a playoff game every weekend through out the state playoffs. Who are the teams to watch that travel well. Ive read PNG plays with sometimes 30 thousand people in big playoff games. Anyhow, glad to be here and Ive enjoyed the local HS football this year.
Nederland, PNG , Dayton all travel pretty well.
Beaumont Central travels well when we're winning lol  ;) :) :)
 2. Also, i AGREE WITH SOULJA!!!! that Comment I read in the paper last year "We were simply outmaned" Almost made me Blow up..If you were at the game, Honestly Humble shouldnt have even been on the field with that team we had last year, we should have took them out early...Theirs no way you can say their players were better than ours.. In matter of fact it seemed like he blame  the players for that lost to.. But hey thats spiled milk now..I just feel this players are only in HS not the NFL, you cant place all the blame on them if any
 3.
Penalties?  Come on!  Now, I will say one thing that the kids didn't do well they they had control over was catching the ball.  Other than that, the staff is to be blamed.  I remember last year in the playoffs we were beating Humble 14-0 early and was driving for a 3rd TD.  we went away from what worked (running with heard) and went to a weak play calling.  Humble then went on to score 24 unanswered points.  They then went in the newspapers and quoted 'we were OUTMANNED'.  Are you serious?  That must have been a typo.  He meant 'OUTCOACHED'.  I'm sorry to put it out there like that, but they have their nerve even saying this to the media and the fans of Central football.
Wow I have much respect for Coach Wash but This kids are only in Highschool, I dont think you can really put any of the blame on them. Theirs enough blame to go around, Honestly the team was just young this year and had alot of inexperience at Key positions..
 4.
This is pretty embarrassing for the Jags. They've got too much history and tradition to be playing this poorly.
Your not lying, You woudnt even think we won District last season, but I knew this would be a tough year with the young team and most of a play makers and top players departing after last season, hopefully we have a better showing next season.. GS Jags, Now lets prepare for next year
 5. Thanks Vidor, it wouldnt seem right for 20-4A going into playoffs without a beaumont team lol, Now go out their and take care of Business Ozen, dont over look the raiders
 6. Lol, congrates Nederland on an outright title, but dont worry it'll be back in Jag land before you know it  ;) :) )
 7.
He was winning with kids Stowers coached... These are kids that learned only under him!
Good point, Also i dont know but i dont think stowers wanted to leave. I think he left becaues of some situations going on with the school administration..Now idk how true that is but its been going around central since he left, and I for one hated to see him go, we had some of our best teams under him, and his defensive schemes where pin point accurate evey game.. Washington was not a bad coach by the way even though that was stowers coached kids the 1st 2seasons he still won district and went 2+ rounds in the playoffs in his first 2yrs..so give him credit
 8. I also forgot Aj. Dugat- Dayton Earl Thomas - w.o.s Deion Beasley - W.o.s Tramain Thomas- EC B.K. Johnsonp- Silsbee Jeremy Johnson- Silsbee Jacob Hannah - Lumberton Damon Heard - Central (Yea he's recent but He was a very good player that made plays)
 9. The 08-09 Central Jaguars. That was one of my Favorite teams. 9-4, 20-4A Co-District Champs, Had one of the better Fastesr Defenseive units to come through central also a very Defensive minded coach. Had a game control smash-mouth offense that controled the game clock. Had alot of playmakers and depth on that team, Had some of the best games i had even been to, like the Angelton game which in my opinion is one of the Greatest games in Setx history, also no to mention that they went 4-rounds deep before loseing to Friendswood 20-19, which in my opinion we were the better team an should have punched our ticket to meet Garrett Gilbert and Lake Travis,
 10. Derrick Hall -Bmt Central Brandon Williams- Bmt Central Micha Mosley- Nederland Dustin Harris- Livingston Christian Micheals- Bmt WestBrook Breanna Doty-P.N.G Cody Hussy-Lumberton Toddirck Pennland - Newton I know its more, im just forgetting some people
 11. Ive also heard good things about the Central freshman team.. This should prove to be a good game, I heard the Central Fresh QB moved up to Varsity..Is this true?? Heard he's something serious..
 12. I say Texas..Yea Florida has the speed, but So does Texas.. We have anything you want in this one great state :) QB's-Just depends which kind your looking for-Pocket Passer-Austin,Centex,West Texas,San Antonio Scrambler-Houston Metro,Dallas Metro,SETX, Speed/Skill- you have Dallas-Fort Worth Metro, Houston, Southeast Texas,East Texas,Centex ect. (I mean we did have the fastest kid/Team in the Nation G.P. Northshore, ran 10:15 in the 100, 40. in the 4x1 and 1:23 in the 4x2 and still hold the fastest time ever in the 100 set by a guy from Jasper :) ) Big O Lineman/DLine- West Texas, Panhandle,Houston Metro,East Texas, Dallas-FT WorthMetro ,Centex,Austin, San Antonio Linebackers/Tightends-Centex,Dallas,Houston,Setx,East Texas,West Texas,Pan Handle Lets just say we have it all in one big state :)
 13. Sometimes it takes something like what happen to Mitchell to light a bulb above the head of the players to let them know its time to step up, and that they cant just let him carry the team..Now maybe we can get this thing going, an still be able to make a late season run..Im not in Texas anymore, currently in Colo, but im still a fan and will be on from time to time to support my Jags :).. Now lets keep this win Streak vs Nederland going :D
 14. SMH..I knew this year would be a tough one, but Nuttin like this
 15.
Central doesn't have No. 15 Heard to bail them out this year like they did last year
The team last year didnt need heard to bail them out..He didnt bail them out against LCM or Nederland, or Livingston..He was just one of the many playmakers we could depend on to make plays.. This year we are just depending to much on Mitchell to win the games, and our Secondary has to do better, But at the beginning of the season I kinda figured this would happen,,from when I went to the La Marque scrimmage..This game could have easily been won, but we dropped to many game changers and with 2mins left, why not melt the clock on offense, you know Green an ozens offense are poise to score..Theres plenty of blame to go around, but I also felt ozen played harder then central and wanted it more..I saw no Swagg on the Central sideline..We better get it in gear or this will be a long season.. Gud win Ozen..Well deserve
 16. Just getting back intown, Wasnt able to make it to the game but I heard it all plus all of these comments.. I hope we come back to play aginst Brook.. Soulja do you think we will be good once we click like last year?? or is this a different type of team?? Someone informed me they did not see that Jaguar Mentality Friday night..Is this true??

 18. Well, Just getting home from Houston, but I did happen to catch the Scrimmage before I got on the Freeway, La Marque is good, they have talent at every skill position, But IMO i dont really look at this as a slap, cuz we got slapped the 1st two games and looked how we ended up last season..Our Offense will struggle early though, no doubt...Our Defense will be decent, sorry Soulja but they wont be better then last yrs D overall..But I look for them to get better as the season progresses and start playing with fire once they find their lingo :)...Our D-Line will be our Strenght this season for sure, and Ryan Davis DL will be our go to guy on D...I still say once District starts we will do what we have to, to make the playoffs.. GL to La Marque next season, they will be a force.. Also that big bowling ball runningback for LM was a transfer from G-Ball??
 19.
I get that Friday night football feel when i travel to Kirbyville for some reason, i like it! Keep doing what your doing k-ville!!
I know what you mean, Even though I think P.N.G reminds me of Friday night lights, The best Stadium to me is Lumberton, idk why..I guess Is like when I get off 69 And the Traffic is backed up on that street in front of the school..I get that Texas HS football Feel..:D,
 20.
central won 4 tds to 1. the defense swarmed all over then. the defensive front was active and physical with worthing. the offense started out strong until a string of 4 chop block ended the first series. then they cuaght firer and started rolling by air and ground. the offensive line was physical still too many mistakes at receiver. robert is a true d-1 talent leading the charge. could have been worse b/c several long run were called back. cant wait till friday with lamarqe comes to town [/quote Lol, Cant wait til Friday, Ill be at that one..
 21. Does anyone know what site I can go to and watch old games like Legacy sports or the video archives on this site??? BTW I like the PNG football site and how its set up to where you can watch any game from last season..Wish Central had something like that :)
No argument there.  Especially the '76 team D3zii mentioned in the first post.  Those were some bad cats!
I seen them play..To this day I still think that was the best team ever hands down, right above the French team :)
1984 French High Buffaloes - We had so many weapons. Mark Guilbeaux at QB, ran a 4.4 in the 40, Soph Willie Williams at wide out, Melvin Turner at TE, Kieth Wycoff at Wide Reciever, Paul Jones at RB, Robert Keil at FB and the #1 defense once in the playoffs. Each one of these guys scored multiple times. I still have a newspaper clipping where Kimble Anders (Galveston Ball, LSU??, and KC Chiefs) said the French defense hit harder than anyone he had played (up to that point). Also, another clipping that was an actual compliment to all of SETX ,said that we came out of probably one of the toughest districts in the state.
I know, I played DB on the 81-83 team. Plus my cousin was Mark G..But I still think Hebert was one of the best
