You are right 34 the offense out played the defense this year. What was frustrating was that the offense could have been even better as we saw last Friday night. I do disagree with you on the OC. I'll give him a "C" for this season and I'm sure he will get better. Sometimes it looked as if the players were studying for the bar exam instead of running a play. GP was showing all kinds of funky reads when given the full 25 seconds and then moved into what they were really going to do after BH set. When BH started to mix it up and went on a few quick counts and ran some plays that they have practiced for 8 years but never used then things got much better. BH did not break it's own momentum. Oh well it was a good year all and all and that is about the only thing I think we could improve on. The rest was just playing on Friday nights. The defense, well there just wasn't much you good do with that.

I hate to be the bad guy here, but BH mixed it up a little on offense and won a ball game no one thought they would. A savior NO! A little common sense and an opinion....maybe. I know you must think everyone is suppose to agree with you and open a praise and worship center for high school coaches but that is your opinion and I do respect it even though I disagree with it.

You are correct 34. The guys left it on the field and got some respect. McGaffie is one bad dude. Don't know what will happen in the play- offs because he is about all they got. It was a blast to see the offense to throw in some razzle dazzle and have some fun. They kept GP off balance most of the night and were not as predictable as past district games. Great Job Friday night EAGLES. Now on to next season. ;D

That's a great thought and it worked once upon a time but do not think for one second that the defense has not caught up and shows vanilla sets. They sure get a 30 second break though between plays. Just my opinion. I've seen it work in other scheems and LCP perfected it here but it took a big step backwards this year and not just because of the players.

Trust me on this one. I too have spoke out about the " no huddle offense" in the past. It just takes us way to long to read the defense and get the play in. In most cases it would be faster to huddle. HOWEVER that being said this years problem is that BH JUST FLAT DID NOT HAVE THE TALENT THAT IT HAD IN THE PAST. That combined with no depth and boom a 5-5 season. Also remember they lost some good assistant coaches from years past. This years staff was not last years staff and be as it may most of the changes were on the offensive side of the ball. Oh well we still love BH football at my house.

BH34, You my Friend should be a sports writer because that is exactly what happened. Some guys played thier hearts out and some were some where else.

Sterling can not beat anyone. They are well on way to a 0-10 season and would not want to mess it up. The only question at Sterling is who will leave at the end of the year for GC Memorial and who will go to Baytown Lee.

I hope the EAGLES will bounce back in what is a must win game. The Falcons are always tough at home and I am really worried about the EAGLE D. They seem like they can give up just enough points to lose. Hope I'm wrong. EAGLES 35 Falcons 28.

Hey THE HILL lost a ballgame. Call the Press. The Coogs were much better and good luck to them. The Coogs have a lot to work on if they want to go deep in the play-offs. You can not have that many personal fouls and go any where. Personal fouls are for the losers. I really do not know what was up with that???

It will be a good one. That is for sure. I've got to pull for the EAGLES but this should be the toughest game of the season for the BLUE. GO EAGLES GO EAGLES GO EAGLES.

34's Dad, I know what you are going through. Been there done that. Heck I use to puke before my kids game. Not really but I felt like it. We all suport the boys in blue and trust me your son is a red headed bulldog!!!!! No pun intended. The Eagles are going to be alright. BHFAN is a senior on here and I know you have been viewing his posts for a couple of years just like I have. FAN is a major HOMER and 99.9 percent of the time he is getting blasted for his opinion that the EAGLES can beat anyone. Good football is good football. Playing hard is cool but playing smarter is better. The EAGLES will work it out and BHFAN will be on here defending himself against everyone east of the Trinity so it's all good. I'm thinking he really was trying tp physic the boys up a bit but now the cat is out of the bag. Trust me know one is jumping ship. We have all been here for the 5-5 seasons in the past and know one put their house up for sale then. It's all good.

Very well said BHFAN. No excusses, if there is any blame everyone from the water boy to the coaching staff got whipped in this one. Good WIN for the dogs but man we hate to lose.

Got to go with the EAGLES in this one at home. A lot will depend on the weather man. The Eagles play on grass and if it keeps raining I doubt anyone can hang on to the ball. Maybe someday we can get turf, but then again we are more prone to no rain instead of more rain during this time of year. :D

This will get some folks at The Hill upset but I would have to go with the 1999 Barbers Hill Eagles. :-* The defense was super tough. :'( The offense put up decent points and they went deeper in the playoffs than any EAGLE teams since the 70"s.

The old fieldhouse is looking good. Too bad they couldn't use more BLUE. HA HA. Looks Great!
