How did Liberty 9th look?

Freshmen had some size but not much depth. Jv played hard and scored late to break 6-6 tie.

Cleveland is not bad defensively, anemic on offense, though.

Hamshire and Cleveland were both in spread gun. Not much offense. A ton of incompletions. I saw HF get 1 1st down. Defenses weere scrappy.

It's August. Alot could happen between now and February. Kids could get hurt playing football, basketball, etc. All teams are even until district starts. Kirbyville started 1-13 last year and got in and went 2 rounds. Hj started 2-7 and went 2 rounds.

When and Where?

Give thoughts and why? if possible. Kids coming back, pitching, etc. I day HJ, Silsbee, Jasper. HJ returns 2 of their pitchers and many young varsity players. Silsbee returns Schooling and McDonald so they will be in the hunt. Jasper Mixon finds a way to win. BC will be beatable because they can't ride Angelle and Dishon can't pitch from CF.

hf, a coach of the year doesn't respond to adversity? a coach of the year is always supposed to take a team of grat players and win 25 games I guess. but what do I know?

I'm sorry that we try to get kids well deserved recognition. I forgot that we are not in this for the kids. I never said he was better than Angelle, but they don't play the same position and mean different things to their respective teams. Why do you have a negative remark about every post? :cry:

Nathan Ricossa HJ. Very solid at 2nd. 1st team All-District. 2nd in MVP voting to Angelle where hitting stats were very similar. Hit over .400 for year. Sr.

Todd Moses, HJ. From 8 wins to 16 wins and 2nd round playoff berth. Nobody gave Hawks a chance with a 2-7 start.
