School boards , schools, law enforcement, have to take everything very carefully when dealing with young adults, the phrase "kids will be kids" really doesn't cut it in our society any more, because it soon becomes "adults will be adults" . One suspension will seem out of line "as the young 6 years old with the camping utensil" while the same suspension would seem to lenient " as with a youngster bringing a gun to school" but both are the same violation, both carry the same punishment. so does the school just make up the punishment as they go? every case has its own set of circumstances, and the school has to go by the law, until it can be discussed at a board meeting. let the board decide what the next step is, that's what they get paid for. Man talk about a run on sentence.

I can see why they do it but I dislike it also. Back when I played for Jasper...Waaaaaaaayyyyy back this is how the zone looked: 10 AAA East Zone Zone Games LCM Bridge City Stark (Orange) Silsbee West Orange South Park (Beaumont) there was one zone champion, you then had to play the winner of the 10 AAA West Zone in order to be crowned district campion. That was it. One team out of 12. man when you won district then it was a big thing.

So true, I stand there at many events, and out of the blue, this big ol' retired infanty boy will have a tear in his eye. changing the pace for a moment. our little group at the game, when the anthem is played sing right along with it. I noticed one time when they were a little younger, 16 17 yrs old, that even my kids had a problem with the words to the anthem. I ask around, and I was shocked at how many people didn't know the words to the anthem. Well let me tell you before anymore allowance money exchanged hands, my kids knew the words and what they stood for.....

We have talked about umbrellas, now my question is.... Have any of you been bold enough to tell someone to take off their hat or stand up during the playing of the National Anthem? well guys, the thread was deleted, I can only tell you the reasons why threads are deleted or modified and how they are discussed by us. So I think it would be best just to let it go...just my opinion

Lets put is this way, I didn't delete whatever thread was deleted. Yes if your a Mod you could delete whatever thread you wanted, but you will have to explain to the other mods as to why, we do have a form of checks and balances . if you have a problem with a Mod, or a Admin, email them, I'm am sure they will love to give you an explanation as to why something is deleted or modified.

You have approx 30 moderators and administrators that monitor this board as much as possible, we can't catch everything. But if people would take the time to read the rules for this board maybe, just maybe there would be less deletion of topics. Remember this is a Privately owned board. And Young men and women come on this board. SO keep is clean and abide by the rules is all we ask. you can boycott all you want. if a thread is determined outside of the rules it goes. Howard

I am going to put this in public so that there will no misunderstanding by anyone. If there are anymore posts that mentions a players name, position , or even imply one of those in a negative way the thread will be locked. I don't know any of the football players from either team, but if even I can figure out who is being talked about then, that is what I consider being implied. This board is privately owned so the rules of free speech, do have a limit. Talk football , talk smack, talk about each other (to an extent) but refrain from talking about kids, how they play, if they acted up, and things of that nature. This site was formed with the idea that local teams that were not covered as much could get as much attention as we could give them. The player could come in here and see their names or numbers and be proud of what they did. We all remember how we felt if our name got mentioned in the news or on the radio, lets keep it that way for these kids. If something that a player did ticked you off, keep it to yourself , that's what we have Coaches for. So enough said on this subject, its not up for discussion.

But does not a great team have the ability to win no matter what the conditions are? If your a fair weather team, how would would you justify being ranked high in the polls if you knew that you couldnt win in bad weather?

I am thinking the stangs are not down, they will come back. Say, when do they play H-F?

now if Jasper were to have been in the same district would that meen that the stangs would be fighting for a playoff spot?
