From the Jasper Newsboy Kirbyville Head Football Coach Jack Alvarez knows his Wildcats will be facing a tougher opponent this week in the Bulldogs than they have seen all pre-season long. "I think the speed of the game will be a lot faster this week and I'm worried about that," Alvarez said. "Jasper has been playing a lot higher level of competition than we have been playing so I'm worried about that aspect of it." Alvarez knows Jasper has taken on a tougher non-district schedule in preparation for the war of District 21- 3A. I am not understanding the (like usual) part of your statement. Are you saying that Jasper quits everytime they play Newton? Thats what I am reading. Interesting games you have been going to. You sure your in the right stadium? ???

OK, Well boredom has set in till tonight. Question is. How far do you have to travel to go to your teams HOME games? Do you go to them all? I live in La and travel 55 miles for Jaspers home games. Have season tickets and go to them all

some schools just don't want to play football. Look at Hudson, by Lufkin if I am not mistaken they are 3a and dont play football. I thought that was strange when I heard that ???

It wouldnt be bad on the most W. Texas Schools , but when the E. Texas schools had to travel now your talking some money that I believe they just dont have. But it would be great if we could get teams ;D

Not sure what world your coming from, but don't tell me. first get your facts straight. Jasper doesnt just sit around on the sidelines and I challange you to prove other wise. Second the Jasper Band also pumps up the volume. Do you remember your band UIL score for the last two years....its easy for me....straight 4's across the board 2 years in a row. Only band to accomplish that, sweepstakes band both years. If your going to post. Post with knowledge of what your saying, and don't be pulling out of the nether regions. I have seen kirbyplay, as a matter of fact I have announced Kirbyville games. If the wildcats can stay focused they may give us a run for our money. BUT.....if they get the big head like as in last years playoff game they may just fall to the wayside...its up to them

most likely and this is just speculation. The smaller school not only have some number problems but when you add a football program in with the moneys that it takes to even keep the school open I believe that football takes second fiddle. I would also think that the travel aspect of it would also run into some problems. JMO

not making something funny out of this but....... "Chilton Independent School District superintendent Benny Bobo said after the 2004 sentencing that the district did not penalize Gamble. Bobo could not be reached Monday." I would think if someone by the name of Benny Bobo was my superintendent and was yelling at me...and I was saying "but Mr. Bobo, but Mr. Bobo" I couldn't keep a straight face.
