When the superintendents, who ARE the UIL by the way, see the travel and gas expenses this plan will be filed away in the trash where it belongs....... Charles Breithaup and staff are just the hired help...they can't do a thing without the approval of the superintendents......

From Region III Class A at SFA: Colmesneil State Qualifiers: Phillip Ryan 2nd in the 100 meters Heather Pierson 2nd in the 400 meters Lori Martin 2nd in the Discus Other Colmesneil finishers: Heather Pierson 3rd in the 800 meters Chelsea Ryan 4th in the 100 meter hurdles. Other locals going to Austin from Region III: Austin Cherry of Chester 2nd in the Disc.

Also, Austin Cherry of Chester placed 2nd in the shot.

From the Region III Class A meet at SFA..... Lori Martin of Colmesneil placed 3rd in the shot put. Returning tomorrow for the running finals: Phillip Ryan in the 100 meters, Heather Pierson in the 400 meters and the 800 meters. Chelsea Ryan in the 100 meter hurdles and triple jump. Lori Martin in the discus.

Over in 24-A at Lovelady, Burkeville and Alto ran 43.9 in the 4 x 100. Burkeville ran a 1:33.4 in the 4 x 200. The 100 meter final was awesome. Patton of Alto won with a 10.82. Ryan of Colmesneil got second with a 10.83 and James of Groveton was third with a 10.86. Area meets have to be complete by next Wednesday. Our area meet is next Wednesday beginning at 1 in Groveton.

Neither High Island or Sabine Pass will be able to play this week. Colmesneil will play at Deweyville on Friday at 7: 30. Prayers go out from here for the folks in Sabine Pass and High Island.
