From the Region III Class A meet at SFA..... Lori Martin of Colmesneil placed 3rd in the shot put. Returning tomorrow for the running finals: Phillip Ryan in the 100 meters, Heather Pierson in the 400 meters and the 800 meters. Chelsea Ryan in the 100 meter hurdles and triple jump. Lori Martin in the discus.

Over in 24-A at Lovelady, Burkeville and Alto ran 43.9 in the 4 x 100. Burkeville ran a 1:33.4 in the 4 x 200. The 100 meter final was awesome. Patton of Alto won with a 10.82. Ryan of Colmesneil got second with a 10.83 and James of Groveton was third with a 10.86. Area meets have to be complete by next Wednesday. Our area meet is next Wednesday beginning at 1 in Groveton.

Chester will be playing this season. They have a new coach and about 20 kids out from what I've heard.

That's the understatement of the decade....I worked in that zoo for three years. No-one will ever be given the chance to do anything in Kemp. The intelligence level of the school board and the administrators that they hire is on the low end of the scale, BUT they think that they are all Vince Lombardi's. Coach Mangan will do a fine job at HF. You guys should get behind him. The wins are right around the corner.....

Trust me...it is. Kemp is the worst place in the state to work at. You can't judge someone by how they did at that dump. Mangan will do a fine job at HF.

Colmesneil vs. Groveton rescheduled. Games 1 and 2 are tonight at Morris Frank Park in Lufkin beginning at 4. Game 3 is tomorrow at 4 in Morris Frank Park if necessary.

Colmesneil vs. Groveton series: Game 1 was moved. It will be played in Woodville @ 6:00 today. Game 2 is Friday at Morris Frank Park in Lufkin @ 6:00. Game 3, if necessary, is Saturday at 4:00 at Morris Frank Park in Lufkin.
