Nothing about Grace in that passage, either.......so in your view, since belief and confession are all that's required, where does Grace come in????? I answered the question.........no one is saved that DOES NOT DO WHAT GOD COMMANDED........they must be baptized to have their sins washed away (scripture in earlier posts) and they must live faithfully until death (revelation 2:10)......living faithfully means worshipping in the manner God showed us to worship.......the only people doing that gather together with like minded believers in congregations called churches of Christ........so no, baptists,Methodists, or any others in man made denominations are saved........THAT is taught clearly in The New Testament.......

Yet pointing out their sins is exactly what we are told to do......if someone does not recognize that they are a sinner, they are not able to repent......a gathering of God's people in isn't a touchy feely group therapy session......it is to worship God in the manner He told us to worship Him, and to challenge anyone not penitent to repent...

If you don't believe what God says and aren't willing to hear and obey His Word, you are wasting your time anyway.......just a cursory study of His word shows clearly that God wants obedient disciples, and if you aren't willing to be an obedient disciple, believing His Word, then you are right, you don't want to worship with a congregation of Gods people......that's your choice, though......

They are not works on our part.....They are commands from God which must be obeyed if one is to be given the free gift of God's Grace.......you have taken one verse to show your false belief while ignoring the Scripture that shows you to be in error.....Acts 22:16 and I Peter 3:21 show clearly that baptism is required right along with Luke 13:3 and Acts 2:38 showing repentance is required......if you ignore the commands from God that you don't like, you are an unbeliever by definition as well......

You left out repentance and baptism.......God included them in HIS Plan of redemption.......Luke 13:3.....Acts 2:38....Mark 16: 15-16......I Peter 3:21.......Acts 22:16...... you also left out living faithful lives until our death....Revelation 2:10.......

If someone understands Scripture and applies it properly, they would not BE a catholic priest.........those "fundamentalist Christians" are not understanding or applying Scripture properly if they are members of man-made denominations and not of the Church founded by Jesus.......

That's why you were in a denomination instead of the Lord's Church.....too much "interpretation" and subjectivity and not enough faith in God and the FACT that He said exactly what he means.........reading scripture and backing that passage up with more scripture is how we are to handle God's Word.......if your preacher is doing anything else but that, you are not in a congregation of the Lord's Church....... We go to Worship on Sunday because of the example we get from the book of Acts and the letters of Paul.....we worship God in the manner HE showed us to worship Him.......there is no command or example for "Sunday School" to be added, and it's not forbidden, so you have "Sunday School" as an extra time to attempt to LEARN God's Word and God's Will........

We don't get to "interpret" God's Word.......men trying to "interpret" God's Word is what has caused all the division and denominations.....I don't "pick and choose" to take some scripture literally and others not....GOD chose that in the manner He revealed it to us......You either believe God, or you don't.......simple as that......and if you are someone who feels the need to "interpret" God's Word, they you, by definition, do not believe......ergo: you are either an atheist or an agnostic by definition......
