I have read thru many blogs including this one and I see some adults who are absolutely obsessed with high school sports. It's all they think, talk, and dream about all day. I'm a big sports fan myself but not obsessed to a point where I almost get into fights at games or get j to arguments on the Internet. I understand when you have a son or family member playing but I'm seeing guys who have non and all they breath is high school sports. There is nothing wrong with following your hometown team but I'm seeing people take it a few steps too far. 

I would think it was pretty even, but HD just keeps winning.   Not sure what they're doing different.  Just speculating they upped there players signing bonus.

My parents use to tell me that I didn't have any rights while I lived under their roof..lol 
I could have protested and been homeless.

And unfortunately some don't even realize what they are doing. They do it because they see a NFL star doing it and view it as a new trend. Political correctness is out of control. 

Contact the federal government.  They keep up with everything we talk about.

There are bad ppl on both sides.  Your good ol' boy, Bill Clinton was one of the most immoral presidents we have seen.  Have not seen you discuss that.

It's about beat your chest cause BH has more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$,so much they structured hundreds of thousands of $$$$$$$$ over 5 yrs to give it back to large corporations that overpaid taxes.It's We Can We Will training,Sure kids there get a quality education,they're provided the best of the best because the cost is NOT a factor.I'm good with it until it becomes personal attacks on the less fortunate.Prime example a landowner of a mobile home park off 146(many mobile homes) sold the property for a plant expansion,then gave less fortunate families 30 days notice to vacate,even though their rent/leases had been paid.Put yourself in their shoes=gotta move,find more prop,moving costs,utility deposits,etc etc

How about you send the Vidor school board a check to "get with the times".   That post compares to the comments of the BD Superintendent.  

Being a close neighbor and rival to BH I LOVE when the Cougars beat The Hill. I may even talk some trash about it. With that being said my experience is that the people in BH are good people, just like those in Crosby and Dayton. I think BH unfairly catches grief bc they have very few minorities and their schools have an abundance of money due to the industry in Mt Belvieu. No district in the state would turn down the revenue, but it makes them any easy target for others whose districts struggle with funding. 
I think the supts tweets were not a good idea, but since he apologized I think ppl should look at his whole body of work and not a few minutes of poor words on social media. 
As someone who loves their community I know it hurts when something like this overshadows all the good in a community. I hope this mess passes soon and The Ant Hill can celebrate all of their great points instead of hearing about this. 
And I hope we beat the snot out of BH on 9/9. 

Well, when the face of your school district goes off in that manner, pushback should be expected.  Had he merely voiced concerns about safety, then it may have not been such a big deal.  However, not only did it not stop there, it didn't start there, either.

It seems that the dainty super simply intended on making Friday night his own personal gripe fest so please don't be so surprised if folks from Orange County are a little put out.

I find it ironic that the Drum Major has more class than the Superintendent.  I often think very few young folks have manners or class.  How refreshing!   And the Superintendent?   Well, if I were from Barbers Hill, I'd be embarrassed, as I'm sure most are.  Hopefully, the good people there will replace the classless t-rd.

Although I have made clear that I share your perplexity of who is and, more importantly, who is not on Jasper's schedule this year, I feel compelled to defend the Jasper staff in this specific instance.  As far as teams in the area, I don't think there was one in Week 2 that was available to play.  As you can see from the weekly schedule at the top, Jasper is the only 11 man team with an open date this week.. I do know that Jasper was on a pretty rigorous search for a Week 2 opponent, but they simply couldn't find one. So, as far as the open date this week, while not the best timed in the world, it probably was a bit outside of their control so they should catch a break from any heat.

I would hope that a player who had a relative that died defending the flag, would plant his arse in the turf if the chance arises.  Guess he is oppressed because he is not the starter.  Oppressed=$millions, got it

He was born to a young white mother and a black father who was out of the picture before he was born.  He was adopted and raised by a white couple.  He makes $19 million a year.  How was he ever oppressed by anyone other than his black father who ditched him before he was born?
