2.
If it is Brown I don't get it. What does he bring other than name recongition? He is a nice guy and was a good quarterback back when Bill Clinton was in his first term. So what? 5 years ago he was selling real estate and he is not a certified teacher in the state of Texas. Central needs someone who can match wits with Larry Neumann and Brown is not the guy. There are a couple of coaches on that list that I feel like Central will be regretting not hiring a few years down the line-- Graham and Goodwin.
I agree. Graham is my classmate and good friend. My only concern  is that we have a lot of classmates who's kids r now playing. Marcus is the type to handle that very well though. Very driven and focused!

 4. Yep! Heard that Lambert pretty much told him in May he would be the next Central coach.

 8. Let me ask ya'll this question? How many coaches did Ozen have on staff last year? How many coaches did WB have on staff last year? And finally, how many did Central have on staff? Next question, why the difference in the number of coaches?
 9. I played at Trinity Valley and the talent we faced in league play was phenominal. This year TVCC has 10 kids going D1 so far including Kewan from Central goin to Memphis. What it allows is time to get grades up, get yourself in better shape for the next level, and mental preparation. It was an experience i will never forget!!!
 10. Well, who's it gonna be??
 11. Congrats! Great kid and great family!
 12. Congrats Robert!! Special kid!!

I see perhaps five or more making an impact with the varsity including the next Quirante, Mason Mathews, the running back #20 whose name I can't remember now and moving up a couple of the O-line for playing experience. We talk so much about skill positions on this board but IMHO, our bread and butter is the O-line which we do as well as anyone in district. Any team who can take on a bunch of 250 lbs+ kids with a bunch of 200 lbs-ers does offensive line well. Word is that Hartman is coming back and boy would he be a big help. Firmly believe that he would have been all-district this year had he been able to play. You know, it's up to Jeff and his coaching staff and how hard these kids work this summer. You could even have the 2010 scenario where we go 2 - 8 and the next year three rounds deep. I believe this bunch of upcoming sophomores are capable of that. Junior High teams look great with one kid coming who could make us forget Montana (if you believe that). Personally, I think the future looks bright for Pirate football if we keep our current coaching staff. Guys like dustoff are doing a great job with the kids at the youth level. Really exciting to be talking about football after all these years....
I think i may know who your talking about.  8)
My sister told me it was some kid named Haylon? She said he started on the 8th grade team as a 7th grader.
There was a kid I remember from a few years ago in STJFL SR's that was a stud. Weird last name. Best 4 RB's that year was him from Vidor, LeJuene from PNG, Trahan from BC (Won Sr SB), and Upshaw from Lumberton. This has to be the kid ya'll talkin about. Helped coach Pro Bowl that year and he dominated the game! Knew then he was going to be special for the Pirates one day!!
The last year they had UIL play offs in the Dome someone forgot to tell the vending company not to serve beer.  I walked up to the counter with BHFan and they had tapped the kegs.  We ordered as many as we could carry (yes $8 a pop) and headed down to the seats.  At least 5 rows in front of us an behind us rapidly made their way to the concession to find they had been informed this was a UIL event.  We sipped our beers and turned down lucrative offers from several folks.  You would have thought we had a trey full of false teeth in Dayton....... ;D ;D
yeah, um, about those beers, the UIL would like to see both of you at their headquarters immediately following your first round playoff exit this year to discuss the consumption of banned beverages at a UIL event.
Man, I'd gladly make that trip to see the UIL if that means we make the playoffs.  Maybe we need to sneak in in that 4th spot and change our luck.  I am SO READY for playoffs in Reliant.  Jerry's World sucks, the drive sucks, the food sucks, the prices for the food really sucks AND it's the Dallas Cowgirls stadium on top of it.
Alright now that is your opinion and that is fine...but your not giving Jerry World credit.  Food is expensive at any pro stadium.  The drive is gonna suck unless your playing in your own backyard.  We live in Texas...its a big state...get used to it.  The seats are quite comfortable and all have a good view.  And to top it all off...the kids (you know the important ones in the conversation) absolutely love playing there.
Bottom line, ALL things Dallas suck.
AMEN to that brother!!!!!!!
Haters!!!

BH 401 yards of offense allowing 202 from lumbertion. even with the 2nd team playing more than the 1st team BH averaged 8.92 yards a rush tonight! Oneal hits 121 tonight he will be hard to keep under a 100 yards a game this year. ]
Considering the starting D only allowed maybe 1/2 of that offense and only allowed Lumberton accross the 50 once, I think it about sums up the performance.  The offense and defense were hitting on all cylinders.
I wouldn't gauge the quality of my team based on an opponent like Lumberton this year. Lumberton had players bailing during the summer to Legacy because they knew how bad they were going to be. I mean seriously, Legacy, can you even call that football?  Who did they have a match with?  The Village?  Huh?  What is the Village?  It sounds like a M. Night Shamalon movie.  Yes, I realize I called it a match.  It reminds me of soccer.  I have serious problems calling that a football game. Sorry I'm hating on Legacy, but I only speak the TRUTH.
R U serious?? Trying to dog an entire program! Football is football no matter the level!! Same ball, same pads, same inherent risk!! Must be from Lumberton since you know so much about Lumberton!! If losing 2 sophomores ruined Lumberton's season, I don't have much else to say. Maybe some kids worry about academics and a christian environment almost as much as athletics!!!!

 20. Most Delusional Fanbase is Vidor and mytwocents is there leader. After 2012, their back to being the Pirates of old! Had a good run with a good group of kids! Same as Lumberton in '07 & '08!!
