There are people highly invested in keeping kids like j-mike at the top of the rankings. He's going to have his opportunity at a top division I program and then we'll see what he's all about.

i can tell u from personal experience that strake does not recruit at all like some other private schools in houston. Westbury christian and St. thomas especially do much more. The coach at strake runs a tight ship. My son played for houston hoops the past two years and we never participated in any tourney sponsored by strake. Be careful about making assumptions.

ranking freshman is kind of silly. Very few play varsity ball. you are trying to compare kids playing on the varsity level with kids playing JV and Freshman ball. Any sophomore good enough to be discussed as one of the best, will be playing varsity ball. Let's wait until next year. The only two freshman that played significant minutes for at least average teams in this area were christian smith at central and nick schrapps at kelly. the latter was second team all district for tapps 5-a.

Kelly hands down. Right now they have 9 varsity players. 7 of them are seniors, one junior who gets about 2 minutes a game, and Nick Schrapps(freshman) who starts and made second team all district. Good luck next year!

If one of your players is arrested and you say that you didn't know, then you don't have the appropriate relationship in place. I'll let the coach and school decide on the punishment, but the important thing is that it be significant enough to send a clear message to this young man that this type of behavior will have an adverse effect on his future

It's all about the coach. There has to be someone willing to bring a culture of success. Someone who builds a program from the bottom up. It can't be done in one year, They have to find the right person and give him a couple of years. It can be done.

nothing surprising about this result. Zach Hayes is vastly overrated.
