Talking about the officials in this game is silly. Orangefield is just not very good and this result is completely expected. By the way, I have no affiliation with HJ.

Sure Ozen is good, but their not one of the elite teams in the state. I realize that Ozen beat Silsbee, but I like Silsbee's team a little better.

Westbrook is definitely the top freshmen team in the area. Not sure about Ozen or central versus nederland. When Kelly has all their players, their in that same group as well.

Lazeek you really do need to read more carefully. I simply pointed out the St. Thomas vs. Westbrook result to give readers an idea of what kind of team St. Thomas is. That's it, nothing more. My point is that this website has Kelly ranked third in small school/tapps category. They have been beaten fairly soundly three times by the two teams ahead of them, and have beaten the teams ranked below them fairly soundly. Kelly has not played schools like westbrook/central/nederland. Therefore, I simply said that the St. Thomas game would help us see just how good they might be. You are arguing against something that I didn't even say.

Actually Kelly only won one district game and ended up going to the state semi-finals last year. Fortunately, Tapps has changed the rules this year and fewer teams will make the playoffs. I think your point is a good one. By the way, I just thought I'd mention that St. Thomas just beat Westbrook. Kelly and St. Thomas play next tuesday at Kelly. We'll find out more about how good Kelly is or isn't.

People tend to focus on today and not on what the ultimate goal is. For others they just are not willing to put in the necessary work outside of practice and games

Hey Aggies are we. please stop with the pity party for Stallworth. He gives as good as he gets. The foul totals for the game do not back up your concerns.

The reason that there are more division one prospects that come out of larger schools is because there are very seldom quality big guys at these schools. That means that a 6'4" player is very likely to play in the post. That is not going to work well at the next level. At that height you are going to have to play the 2 or 3 spot in division one ball. Coaches at these smaller schools have to work with what they have, and when your tallest player is maybe 6'3" to 6'5" it is very difficult to let him develop at a guard spot in high school.

Way too much is being made of this one game between Kelly and Ozen. First, Ozen is just not as good as they have been in past years. Second, Kelly played very well that game. Clearly both Silsbee and Kelly are two of the elite teams in the area, and are able to compete with the 5a schools on an equal level.

I expect a much more competitive game than the first time around. Kelly had way too many turnovers and silsbee made a lot of shots, especially 3 pointers.

It was basically a poor game all the way around. Kelly played uninspired ball. I saw nothing that would indicate to me that orangefield has much going on.
