Lady Cards win big over SFA. Double digits.

Lamar didn't play Tech's JV squad. It was the same team and same coach. There seems to be this brick wall when it comes to giving Lamar any credit. Tech is good when playing SHSU, bad when playing Lamar, now once again good.

What If UT, AM, and OU leaves the Big 12
UNLV replied to UNLV's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
SEC.... If this should happen, the SEC will be in a class all it's own. -
Obvious ranked Texas A&M is not a good team because they lost to a bad Texas Tech. We know Tech is bad because they beat Lamar by 2 points.

What If UT, AM, and OU leaves the Big 12
UNLV replied to UNLV's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
My reasoning... Take out privates.. If Memphis can't get in the Big East, Memphis needs to join Houston and other big Metro-schools. Memphis U-Houson North Texas DFW area UTSA San Antonio area UTEP El paso area UAB Birmingham area These 6 schools represent 15 million people. However a conference needs more than 6 teams. Why would ok st, Texas tech, and Baylor leave the Big 12? If UT, AM, and OU leave the Big 12, the population base shift from Texas to the midwest. Ok st, Texas tech, and Baylor would find it harder to recruit out of Texas. Those school would be in a position of having to choose between being in the Big 12 and lower quality of recruits or drop a conference level and keep the quality. Texas population is the fastest growing. Long term, the Southwest conference could surpass the big 12 in football. Memphis UH UAB UNT UTSA UTEP Texas Tech OK st Baylor -
If UT, AM, OU leaves Big 12.. Big 12 replace them with BYU, Air Force, New Mexico. Texas tech, Baylor leaves Big 12 because Big 12 foot print outside recruiting area. Big 12 replace them with Colorado st, Wyoming. UNLV & San Diego joins PAC 10. MWC no more... TCU joins Tech and Baylor in Southwest conference Every school market is over 300,000 in population except Texas tech and Baylor Surely a tv deal for this conference. I wouldn't be surprised if OK st replace Rice in this conference because they get their recruits from Texas. UH 5.5 million MEM 1.2 million UAB 1.1 Million UTSA 1.9 Million UTEP 700K UNT 6 million LU 405K Texas tech 261K Baylor 226K TULANE 1 million TULSA 900K RICE 5.5 millioin TCU 6 million 18 MILLION -------------------- new Big 12 Kansas Kansas st Missouri Nebraska Iowa st Colorado Colorado st Air Force BYU Wyoming New Mexico Ok st

If LU loses, it'll be because the guards shot very very very bad. If the guards shoot a decent percent, LU wins.

Lamar by 10-13 points. LUFAN did you hack into my mainframe.

I find it hard to believe SFA and Mcneese will not follow. The slc could look like this in the future. Lamar Delta st Tarleton st Mid-western st Nicholls st Houston Baptist UTA LeTourneau Abilene Christian LSU-Shreveport How many good recruits would choose Lamar.
This will never happen with us in the conference. Otherwise we would win it every year and be out in 5 years.
No, our quality of recruits will drop to their level. Do you remember LU first year back into SLC. LU took Sunbelt quality recruits to the NCAA via the Southland.

Give me 24 hours to run it through the mainframe. Lamar will be the best team to play at SFA this season, so far. That SFA win over OU is playing with my mind. Take away that win SFA is not very impressive. Lamar is much improved, however the guards do go through droughts.

There is a reason why the same teams are in the top 25 and winning a NC year after year. Conference. Texas st has 27,000 students. OU 28,000 Nebraska 21,000 K st 23,000 etc etc I could go on. So why is it that these schools are considered big name schools or big schools? Conference. Being in a better conference does not guarantee success, however it increases your chances a whole lot. Being in a bottom tier conference decreases your chances of success by a lot, hence Texas st. Lamar is better off with the extra money and exposure in a higher conference then not.

81-56, I was close..

Lamar should be out the slc for the fall of 2013...Everything depends on the big conference break up. CUSA is in a civil war, I expect them to break up. Big 12 is fighting amoing themselves. LU just needs to be ready when there is an opportunity.

12,000 by fall of 08 would be incredible. Lamar should consider a west Houston campus/Katy Campus. If coach is right, 14,000 by 2010. The real growth will happen after 2010. Maybe 16,000 by 2012. -
yep...
