1. Lamar is now in 9th. Very little help tonight. Even with a win last game LU needs help.
 2. Roc has the most talented team in the SLC, super recruiter. He just don't have the X and O skills. However what if ROC win out, then win the SLC tourney, then win a game in the NCAA.
 3. Why do we say SFA or SHSU but we don't say MBL?
 4. A new coach, a new system, Sam was playing short hand, LU at home, good grief Roc you had all the advantages.
 5.
Check the wac board.  there are alot of haters on there right now.  mostly from the west.
Good post on the WAC forum. Add this to your post 1.The Football program's signature win came on September 5, 1981, in an 18-17 win over the UPI #20 ranked Baylor Bears under Head Coach Larry Kennan. This would be the first time that a Division 1-AA team defeated a Division 1-A ranked opponent. The football program was dropped in 1989, largely due to budget overruns and declining attendance. 2. MBB sweet 16 3. WBB Elite 8 4. Golf finished 3rd in nation. I need to join that forum to set them straight.
 6. If Lamar joins the WAC... UNT would be closer to 4 WAC then any Sunbelt team. ULL would be closes to ULM then 3 WAC schools before the next Sunbelt school then another WAC school.
 7.
BUMP - Lamar to the WAC...my new avatar seals the deal
I think many are starting to panic. I think unless something way out there and unimaginable happens in conference realignment, Lamar is a slam dunk to joining the WAC. I ULL is 65/35 in joining too.
 8.

Everyone, including myself, is frustrated by the slow movement for Lamar joining the WAC. However if I was President of Lamar, I would dot my "i" and cross all my "t" before announcing. I think this what Lamar is doing. If Lamar was not making the move, I think they would have stopped all this FBS talk by now. There is no rush, as frustrating as it is, to announce today. I'd start worrying after April is nothing is announced. The WAC forum has not researched Lamar. Many there believe Lamar is a start up program instead of a return to football school. Many there don't know Lamar was in the same conference with Central Florida, North Texas, and ULL. Many there don't know Lamar was once in the Sunbelt. Many there don't know Lamar played at FBS level. They think Lamar is an academically low school. They don't know Lamar is one of the top engineering schools and 1 of only 17 doctoral research schools nation wide. Also on the track for Tier 1.

On track for tier one?  - Negative. Here is a list of future Tier one schools: UTA, Texas Tech, UTSA, U of H, UNT, UTD
You fruit of the looms don't know nothing about nothing. A phrase i use here often. Lamar is on track for tier 1. Lamar is lagging behind the schools you mentioned. It was announced a few years ago and I posted it on the other Lamar forum before it shut down. Lamar tier 1 won't happen over night. Lamar  will be an 80 million dollar research. UT-Austin is 300 million in comparison. Texas wants the school named after the Father of Education to be tier 1.

I forgot that UNLV made that post. Everyone knows that everything UNLV posts lacks credence...
Exactly...

 11.
BYU has joined the WAC for all sports except football - to my understanding.
No, BYU will play in the WCC except for football and softball.
 12. As of right now today, LU has no choice but to join the WAC. There is no other options other than remaining with SHSU in the SLC.  ;D Maybe in the coming months other options will emerge, but today it is only the WAC.
 13. I don't see the need to add non-football schools. The WAC needs to add LU for the needed 8 then wait for the next rounds.
 14. Losing money playing at SD is better than playing home against IW. It makes an already cheesy schedule look worse.
 15.
UNLV - I hope you're kidding b/c if not life must be tough.  I mean surely your team doesn't win every game all the time. It's okay to be disappointed but really? Seriously, call Gilligan and tell him he should forfeit the remain 53 regular season games.
Lamar had every advantage over the Akron team, including a week of 70 degrees; 30's in Akron. I'll let the next several games speak for me. There was a time LU would beat Rice, AM, and even Texas. sigh...
 16. If we had to drop them, drop them for TCU not IW. If LU goes WAC in 2012, we can not return the home game to a FCS.
