  1. Glad to see the Div I Cards beating up on what was then a first-year Div II school. They'll have to do that as a Division I program yet again if they want respect around this league. What humors me is that SHSU still holds an edge in the series against the Cards despite typically being a lower classification. SHSU is 3-1 when both were Division I... SHSU is this when you only consider that. SHSU is that when you only consider this. SHSU is the nations best in between time X and Y. EXCUSES EXCUSES... Terror, 50-7...eat it my man...
  2. Couldn't tell -- didn't have trunks loaded and things loaded on top of the car. Doubt they were evacuating at this point. Saw the buses at Ford Arena. No one was moving just yet. Maybe it's our growing population, who will be in the stands in 2010.
  3. Thats because we knew it was you... Why is New Orleans people coming this way, I would go towards Jackson, Birmingham, or Atlanta... Beaumont and Houston is still in the cone. SHSU sigh!!!!
  4. As long as Lamar can grow its student population, local economy stays hot, and fan support, let Lamar can keep ahead of UTSA. If that is Lamar plans. If Lamar plans are small time Nicholl st, then Lamar is doing ok.
  5. I wonder if Lamar football will hurt SFA as much as it will hurt Mcneese. SFA was winless. Could Lamar football keep them at the bottom for several years. I think this is the last year before regional teams begin to feel the Lamar effect. Each year after that will get worse up to about 4 years when everything begins to stable out.
  6. Coach needs to sit her down to explain this is a second chance and that he won't tolerate stealing or any crime. Her and Ang Green, oh wow...Then add Brittany inside game...
  7. What is behind that wall....Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
  8. That can't be right. Lamar has been averaging about 1,000 students difference between the fall and spring. The exception was spring of 08. If Lamar can only gain 300 students from spring 08 to fall 08, then that is pitiful. and 10,500 is not the largest enrollment in LU history.
  9. The above article stated 10,500 on campus and just under 14,000 overall (due to that program -- also mentioned above). Unless I read that wrong... SHSU's goal is 20,000 and it may be reached somewhere in the 2012-15 range. Each year, the school seems to experience a 3% increase in enrollment (which is what is budgeted for at the very least). Over the last few years, we've been the fastest growing school in the state. You guys may take the nod with the lift from that program This part is confusing... My understand is right now, or as of the spring 08 enrollment Lamar was 10,500 on campus and 14,000 HEH. Therefore: The 14,000 I heard must have been meant as on campus. It would'nt be 14,000 HEH and 10,500 on campus again for the fall. Maybe 14,000 on campus and 18,000 including HEH.
  10. Ok I'm hearing 14,000 on campus. Can anyone confirm? If true, this amazing since football has yet to start. I think Lamar target goal on campus should be 20,000 by 2012.
  11. Lamar needs to build a classroom building. This would open the school up for growth...
  12. Lamar largest enrollment was about 11,800. So several thousand more students means about? 13,000? 14,000? 25,000?
  13. 19th in the DI poll back in the 80's but they lost to USL the same day the poll came out and dropped out the next week. Nope, Lamar highest ranking was 12th in 1968...
  14. The really sad part is we will have the nations lowest attendance...
  15. Lamar should rise to at least a top 3 ranking or higher since we will go undefeated this year...
  16. Thanks Terror, our second year soccer team is now equal to SHSU well established womens BB team.
  17. Maybe, maybe not. Lamar could leave and SHSU could stay and vice-versa. You put too much linkage on schools when there is none. Just because Texas st goe FBS doesn't mean Lamar or Sammy will too. Don't torture me Terror... Although Tarleton would fit well in the SLC. They could have LU's spot.
  18. Wasn't that Lamar a #6 seed? They make a surprise run through the SLC tournament? Also, were you going to comment on anything else I mentioned? A&M-CC did not "drop" to SLC level. They lost Ronnie Arrow to South Alabama and then they hired a guy who was doing the wrong things, had an AD who was blind to the wrong things already happening there and it just spiraled downward. That program had major problems... You are consistantly wrong on issues like Lamar not being able to play SLC football until 2012. It would take me hours to counter all your wrongness. It terrorizes you to obsession with the fear Lamar might leave your beloved SLC. And I live for the day we say bye to the SLC. The jv conference...
  19. Considering all schools in Louisiana outside of LSU have budget problems pertaining to athletics, yes -- La Tech is down in the WAC because of the increased amount of their budget that must go towards travel. They also outsourced their marketing/sales in a 10 year deal and I'm not usually a fan of that because I think it cuts the amount of money coming in (from personal experiences). La-Lafayette is not faring well either. They have sports where the coaches must raise the scholarship money yearly to make things happen. They do not pay well and are under-staffed in quite a few areas unlike many football schools at that level. If Lamar is down in the "lowly" SLC, what were they during their time in the Sun Belt? Couldn't of been much better and that was before all those schools started playing some football in the Sun Belt and were not in a good situation football-wise. Lamar last year in the Sunbelt was lowly, yet that lowly Lamar won the trip to the NCAA the first year in the SLC. The samething happen with CC as a independent. Both teams dropped to a SLC level. Was it SLC travel cost making Lamar suck in one of the worse conference?
