SHSU will never make it back to the NCAA while Lamar is in the SLC. You should be hoping we leave too. Each year Lamar gets stronger and stronger. Your beloved SLC cup is already ours. However this is what I don't understand, why are you and the katfans giving UTSA the free ride? UTSA has said they will play FBS too. UTSA is also rumored as a member of the future Southwest Conference. Why the outrage at TSU and not UTSA?

Thats 2 games right there. Other games could be with South Alabama, Wichita st, and other start-ups and move up teams.

The first calls will be lower level DI's, he will hold out for higher DI's.

Yeah, if Roc doesn't move on to a big name school taking Bubba with him, Boutte gets the Lamar HC job. If Roc stays, I see a Boutte getting offers in 5 years from as low as SWAC/SLC schools to as high as Sunbelt/CUSA type schools.

Boutte + Lamar = all 3 star recruits starting next year = NCAA tourney every year.

Kennan has a great football mind and excellent experience. However his name is not big time. And he think 5 years for a winning team is acceptable progress. I would like to see as coach someone with Tidwell's lets try to win now attitude.

No way would J5 being the super group they were landed in Beaumont Jackson 5 did come to Beaumont. They performed at the Harvest club. Elvis came a few times. Bulldoze the football stadium and make that parking. Build a brand new nice stadium 'around the corner'. Isn't there land somewhere across the highway from the baseball field??? Then, you have plenty of parking for the Montagne and you get the football stadium a little ways away from the Mobil plant. This is exactly what should be done. The stadium should be on the school side of MLK where those houses currently sit. Exxon-mobil could fund the majority of the stadium with a small less than 1% of the largest profit of a private company in world history.

Here is the bad on Coker. He won the NC with someone elses recruits and team. As his recruits came in and took over, Miami went down badly.

Lamar has the best record of all slc teams and is alone in first place in the slc.

Beaumont and Port Arthur use to be rivals. 2 Independent cities friendly, but still seperate paths. Today, Port Arthur has yield itself to being a Satelite city to Beaumont. That is not a put down to Port Arthur, thats just how things evolved.

If all teams made it and on a neutral floor, what is the point of having SLC games. I say 6 teams on higher seed home court. 1 and 2 seed gets first round bye...

Lamar is already going to have one, if not two years as an FCS Independent. Unfortunately, Texas State - San Marcos, who already announced a move to FBS (Teis and Trauth did this "holding hands together" shtick) has not been removed from the conference following this year. Hopefully they announce it soon and follow their by-laws. I'd love if Texas State - San Marcos got the boot, because they'd be hard-pressed as an Independent...it definitely would not help them find another conference. Oh please, you and katfans are extremely jeolous of TSU. You hate fact they are leaving SHSU behind. Despite your LAMAR must follow this school action and Lamar must follow that school actions, I feel comfortable in saying Lamar will also leave SHSU behind. You are the most unrealistic person in the bunch on this board and the others acknowledge it (as I've seen on two other boards comments re: your logic). Your beginning to remind me of Pat from KatFans.com, who hasn't been a sports fan for very long and even though he comes across as fairly knowledgeable, he's not... Please show me 1 rule that says Lamar can't move up to FBS in the 3rd year of football.
