1. Woodville could win in a close one only if they stack the line, play good defense (secondary) and good tackling
 2. I lucked up last night and found some Willis Point highlights! [Hidden Content]

J. Albritton - 47  516  10.98  5 J. Smith - 25  288  11.52  3 We will see what happens for sure, and anything can happen, but this season I don't see Newton being the Newton of old.  Bottom line is, we are scheduling teams that are above us in classification, and sometimes I forget that Kirbyville hung the moon! yeah  i bet they would be good playig teams like shepard! You mean hamshire fannett and the other private school, doesn't matter tho still mediocre teams
 4.
kirbyville is a 1 man team..
That doesn't say alot for ozen
 5. LaFredrick Ford is not on either 1st or 2nd Team Offense?????

They mixed up the offensive plays to keep the Comfort D guessing, kept the mistakes to a minnimum and the 'Cats D had a fantastic night. Ford just had to keep them occupied (and still had over 100 yds) which gave others a chance to make big plays. Just play it like that again and things should go well for them.
I agree, Kirbyville will have to be balanced on both sides of the ball.  They'll need to keep an eye on Seth Tilley, their quarterback.  Everybody talks about Jarman Johnson and the Wildcats can't let him run loose.  But if they load up on him, Tilley will make them pay because he can throw (and he spreads the ball around) and he can run.  On offense, just like last night and against Arp, they are gonna have to stay balanced.  They can't just count on Ford to get the plays, guys like Kael, Caleb and JaMichael will have to come up big.
I agree with you WOSgrad...Kville will have a lot on their plate..Johnson the RB has 2,727 rushing yds,They have another one with 1,600 yds..And Tilley is like you say...He can throw and from the stats on him he don't have a favorite reciever..Kville is gonna have to get hard down Mean( of course legally)..If They will do what they did with Comfort,Stay focused, play hard every down,Keep the penalities down..They can bring home the State Trophy..!!!                                               "GO HARD KAT'S, BRING IT HOME.!!
Who has 1,600 yds?
QB I believe
 7. Onside kick, Lorena takes it to Carthage 13....questionable call!
i say dont even try for the punts cause all we do is muff em
not # 3 but #4 every time Yeah just keep Fowler #3 back there, he hasn't droped muffed any this year. Hope I don't jinx him lol
9.
going back to last year's title game loss and all throughout this season, this is a more hardened and tested team.  their mentally tough, and experienced and that's the difference with this team that can take them over the top I believe
Right! I think we know what it takes this year.
 10.
I just talked to Fred Rhodes and Devin Jackson....man these boys are pumped up.....Their words were to me...."we're going to go take care of business up there...cause we're going to state again" I'm sure hoping they do....GO CATS
They know it, we know it!
 11.
Angelton 21 Brenham 0 at the half
Brenham 32 - Angelton 28 Final
 12. Heard Bennett (11) had close to 200 yds, any truth to this
 13. Best R-back in the area... Keep it coming!!!
 14. What station are they going to be on anybodyy know?
 15.
Arp takes this one big. Arp - 38 K'ville - 14
Should'nt you be in a basketball thread?
 16. Gee Aiden, have a little self respect little man. After all the trash you threw out last week it seems you could wait a day or two before embarrassing yourself again. EC has as much chance beating Daingerfield as K'ville does beating ARP, slim. Win or lose, the future looks bright at EC.
How doyall have as much  of a chance as K-ville does when we have acually beaten arp before. Have yall ever beaten Daingerfield! NO

Kirbyville -- 30 Arp -- 14
No offense to Anuhuac but K-ville didnt really open up the playbook tonite. Just ran basic plays so we wouldn't show to much for the next opponent. Defense played soild, didn't take Alverez to go deep in playbook.
whoah, don't say that! cuz i said pretty much the same thing in another thread and some folks did take offense.
I knew what the gameplan was Thursday, got it from the horses mouth. It is what it is!

 19.
Coach alvarez prefers turf anyway he has an advantage he will take it be it for the location or what
To be honest LCM was closer for K-Ville than Anahuac but i do agree with Gorilla, Alverez loves to play on turf so i dont think it really matters
 20.
My response to dray2002 had nothing to do with the eventual outcome of the game. Common knowledge KV is favored here. I simply challenged an statement about the style of Anahuacs play I felt was waaaay unnecessary.
No hard feeling ECBucFan I hope its clean ball from both teams come friday night
