You can not release a pitcher with the stuff that Lidge has. Maybe, do like last year and change his roll. His problem is with tipping pitches and control- things that a pitching coach should be able to fix. He cannot be sent down without clearing waivers. If he was released or placed on waivers, at least 20 of the 30 teams would be interested. Yes, he had a bad year and it cost the Astros but giving up on him now would be a mistake.

He has the stuff. They can't give up on him. I think, he was probably tipping his pitches again. A good pitching coach will fix that no problem. The Astros have not had a quaility pitching coach (or hitting) in a while.

Hunstville I believe is ranked #12 in the state and Vidor is playing without one of if not their best players. It's going to be a tough couple of weeks but I think it will only make the rest of the team better.
