  1. Yes, I enjoyed it. Ya'll did a pretty good job.
  2. That's good to hear. That's been something that has been missing- ball control offense and a strong defense.
  3. [Hidden Content] Now it's closer by committee.
  4. I always rather playing defense, better to hit than be hit.

  6. I agree an 80's team with the wishbone could compete against the spread offense of today. It would all depend on the defense. A good defense combined with a slow grind it out offense I would take any day. You can't score if you don't have the ball. You know the old saying 3 things can happen when you throw the ball and 2 are bad.
  7. Their would be more fans in the stands now. Their are more students attending Lamar, many who live in the dorms.
  8. They did it, swept the Pirates. Up next the Padres.
  9. It's hard to pick one but I tell you some of the biggest hits come from blocks on special teams. I can tell you from experience, those blind sided shots, running full speed really ring your bell. ::4 You know the ones I'm talking about where the first thing to hit the ground is the back of the helmet.
  10. I with ya there Coop or Vidor/ LCM.
  11. Well, Morgan came through finally.
  12. Yes, we have. I think that we might make better use of them this year.
  13. I do not see us (Vidor) and Lumberton as rivals. There is not enough history there for there to be a rivalry.
  14. Vidor's would have to be right up there; with Gooch ( UT commit, 6-5 295), and Duff ( 2X all district, 6-3 285).
  15. Yeah, that's kinda what I was thinking.
  16. I follow any SETX team and this year I have reasons to follow Newton (my girl started teaching there) and Corpus Christi Calallen (my son just moved there).
  17. I didn't think they had a farm system. I thought they just went out and bought whom ever they wanted. ::9
  18. Nope that's the way we do it every year.
  19. He is listed as a RB but also has played WR and DB. He is very quick with great hands. Has been on varsity since his freshman year.
