looking at Santa Fe and Lumbertons rankings, BH really has not been tested defensively.  Not sure but I think WOS had more speed than BH.  Not downing BH defense, but they may be overblown due to weak opponents

Barbers Hill vs Nederland should be a good game.  I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Hate to say this but it's the same thing every year with teams like Vidor and LCM.  I'm happy these teams represented 20-4a very well.  Having said that they still have to prove... can hang with the likes of Nederland, PNG, Central, even Livingston or Lumberton?  I would love to see either of these two teams run the table this year but I don't believe it'll happen. I think they both finish in the bottom the district, maybe one of them takes the fourth spot. Time will tell! 

WOS has gotten the better of us for a while...  Hopefully this year will be our year!  I take Nederland by 3.

I absolutely hate this offense.  I would rather watch girls volleyball than vidor play offense.  Terrible.  Only effective with a big O-line and several good running backs...

in the winter we always catch reds on dead shrimp... Dead shrimp are a lot cheaper than Gulps... Whatever catches the fish...

always good to try entergy outfall for redfish on dead shrimp or berkely gulp shrimp "new penny"  or La. shoreline willow bayou w/ dead shrimp for redfish... have heard of some speck being caught under the birds... also heard specks being caught on Corkies fished drifting the lake...

I read the article in my SI and I thought it was great.  Talking about the great TJ teams of the 70's. Very nice article.
