been catching all our fish at the jetties this week. as long as the speck are biting there I won't be in bessie heights... I would like to catch some flounder though...

went out to the jetties again tonight, I think the secret is the tide moving out. We caught 50-70 speck up to 25"

this morning I went out and didn't catch but 5 good trout. I thinkt the tide needs to be moving out... it was moving in this morning

my brother went out again last evening and limited out again. It is rough but when you get on the LA side of the jetties its not that bad. We have a 21' boat and do fine. Another note is that the guys fishing with live shrimp were absolutely catching fish every cast...

It may be worth it IF you don't get seasick :-[

I'm not sure this group has what it takes to win. They look so overmatched by Brazil and Italy. They are just ugly to watch. They have such little skill compared to the other teams. I agree, give the unknowns a chance. This can't be the best America has to offer

we were catching them yesterday with a slow approach. Reel, twitch it a couple of times, let it sit for 5-10 seconds then repeat. Some times they bite it with a reel, twitch, reel, twitch without letting it sit My brother went out to the LA jetties again today and caught 25 fish up to 23".

We went to the Louisiana jetties this afternoon and absolutely tore the speck up. We were almost at the end of the Jetties in the blue water. It was an awesome evening. No small fish caught at all. I guess the biggest was about 25 inches. We caught them on Chartruese Mirrodine XL Mirrolures. The only bad part was that the waves were rolling... I got pretty sea sick but it was well worth it.

the wind has been really tough. We have been spending all our time in bessie heights... I want to try to speck fish off the N levee but way windy... Maybe next week

Is the Sportsman back open at the 4 way stop? They carried live shrimp before the store was just about carried away by Ike. Sportsmans is closed since Ike. There is a place on 365 between West Port Arthur Rd. and 69. (not sure of the name but it is pretty close to W. Pt. Arthur Rd.). Does anyone know if Causeway Bait is up and running? The only place to buy live shrimpis at the place on 365. Causeway bait is back open but only sells dead shrimp and light tackle and a few plastics etc. The Causeway baitshop has an excellent deli

over the last 3 weeks we have generally limited out everytime we went to lighthouse cove. The Jetties have also been hot. I will be fishing the North end as long as I can catch the same fish there. I like being able to launch in Port Neches. Its like fishing in my backyard

I heard today that the bite is on the North end of the lake. We went out this evening and there were about 8 boats in one general spot. I caught 3 nice speck on a not so good evening to fish. I am sure it will be very productive early in the morning.

Just think if my son died in Port Arthur and I contacted the clan and whomever their leader is to come and protest in downtown Port Arthur and hired a lawyer that was involved in some heated white killed by blacks case... I would be labeled a racist for SURE!!!! and I would be rightfully called that because what I would have done would have been racism.
