No foul language, just reminding people what they said, after they had bashed folks! Very thin skin who is ruining this website and I would like to tell the owner about it. They can! Dayton can also stop Angleton... Dayton's defense is getting better every week. Ploch is also improving weekly, for a guy who didn't play QB until this year, he is an offensive machine. Not - love to see it. Dayton could not stop Cole - Angleton has 4 kids as good or better than Cole dude. Could be ugly - hope you get there.

In case you two above did not realize it, this forum is not aimed at FW and Angleton! But why would we eat any crow. We said before the game they are great team and we hope to beat them. Where is the crow!

?? So we steamroll Nederland and drop to 4-1? Nederland is currently 1-3. I think he was under the impression Ned was 4-0. We would be if we hadn't lost to WO-S, Friendswood, and Ozen hahahah I guess he got that impression from Pumas attitude - not what you would expect from a fan whose team is down, but will be back in a couple years!

Thanks old61eagle - this Friendswood fan knows how you feel. If folks would realize that loud mouth posters do not represent the cmmunity - their assumptions and perceptions would change. I know several PNG folks very well and it is a great community with awesome support. Kids grow up wanting to wear the purple!! Well said!!

And how would you know that FW has the mightier than anybody attitude? From a couple posters? One could draw that conclusion about Dayton, Vidor, PNG, etc - based on a couple posters - but I do not think stereotyping a community based on a couple posters attitudes is a valid approach. I have met many people from Dayton, PNG, Vidor etc and know that the community is not reflected by a couple over the edge posters. Get a grip and yes Angleton is the real deal - we are going to have to play very well to beat them. They are a leading candidate to win this region of ours! We respect Angleton and all the other teams that we play. Good luck to all the rest of the season!! To raideroldtimer - good luck with your biases, if you meet some FW people, may be you will try to get to know them instead of using your stereotyping approach. Try it - it works!

Friendswood JV 40 Texas City 0. TC was a very impressive team during warmups, very big , high energy and lots of talking and chanting. But once the ball was kickedoff FW was very impressive. JV is now 4-0.

Hard to tell based on who the teams have played. I am going to go with Central, even though the Galveston Ball game has me wondering, but I will go with Central 28-14. Good luck to both teams.

I think I understand the frustration about the fire and passion. We were told Nederland folks would be here at 5. We were told they would fill up the stands. Someone set out a bunch of extra chairs for people to sit in. I remember how loud Nederland was in Baseball. I remember how loud Nederland was last time they played football in FW. Folks - something has changed. The crowd was quiet, not nearly as many fans showed up as expected and have in the past, and the players did not have the same energy and passion as past Nederland teams. I know why you are frustrated. We did get all the breaks last nite, but I gotta believe this was just the worst possible nite you could have with out your number 2 Qb, bad timing. But I do not know aboout the rest, may be a bigger problem for football? But if you can have the passion and energy that we saw for baseball last spring - I think this is not a big issue. Good luck the rest of way! We will be rooting for you. I meet and talked with a bunch of great people last nite!

Just trying to understand - why was that a bad call on the Pass interference? Yall got the call? It was clearly on us?

They had at least 350 yards probably to KPs ~100. KP intercepted a pass for a touchdown in the second quarter, and couldnt move the ball well all night. Dayton had the ball first and goal with under 3 minutes to play, but could not score. KP gave up a safety with 40 seconds left to get the free kick. After the free kick, Dayton ran 3 plays, but never threatened. Hard not to score points with 350 yards offense. Must have had a lot of turnovers or 4 drives stopped inside the 20!

FW JV 18 - Nederland 15 JV is 3-0.

Do you think you will fill up the visitors stands? We have not had that happen very often - even with our district foes! Dayton did a good job of filling them last year, Nederland has a bigger fan base, that said bring your walking shoes you may have to park on the side of 45. Can not argue - and it is even worse now with the construction. I hear the Nederland folks are getting there at 5? Wow - that is planning ahead!!
