  1. Coop, Is there any chance that Ike keeps traveling West? That would be a dream come true!
  2. Keep up the good work Ryker..... Lets hope that this weeks Pick-em is not a wash out in SETX. I hope Ike doesn't put a whoopin on us like he used to do Tina.
  3. Hey jal, Someone from Warren will need to get the information out after the games. It sounds like that would be a good job for you! You need to make it happen.

  7. The TE position is vital to a running game, if you play smash mouth football. The Spread is the in thing right now. It is all part of the scheme that the HC believes in. IF your guy (TE) is an athlete, then he will be playing somewhere. I am not speaking for any Coach in SETX, but I have a good feeling that they are well aware of the athletes that they have on the field.
  8. Hey Coop, keep up the good work. Do you have something up your sleeve for Gustav? I would like to use my do not pass go card on Gustav.

  10. UH, HEEEELLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I knoW that you guys are very loyal to your Home team, but lets not forget that HD won most of those games when they were in the 2A ranks. I am not saying that HD can't beat Hardin, but lets get real. Numbers alone give the advantage to Hardin. IMO, after this season; the Bobcats are going to go through a major down turn so over the next 10 years, the win lose #s will change. No, I do not have family in either town, I am just an outsider looking in.
  11. I think the playing field will be more level this year than in the past 5 or 6 years, but the facts are the facts.
  12. Guys........................it was a scrimmage.................let it go already. You two guys are probably cousins anyway????????????
  13. Evaloution, you are beginning to tell how long you have been in the District.
  14. Will they have anything about High island in there?
  15. Regardless of who they lost, they will be the team to beat for the district Championship. Spurger deserves the respect for what they accomplished last year, but they will have to really step it up to retain the District title. A New Coach and a new system will make it tough to have a repeat performance. I am sure the Pirates will give there best shot. Good luck to all this year. We have to get though the Football Season fist. Let the Games begin!!!!!!!
  16. I believe the original post said just for fun...............

  18. Phillip Permenter High Island Class of 1981 Todd Kahla High Island Class of 1987 Both were Ranked in the TOP 25 Rushers in the State when they Graduated. Permenter was a BULL!!!! Kahla just ran by you.
  19. HeY CATMAN with HD only losing 2 STARTERS, that kind of makes my argument for HD that much stronger. Would you agree?
  20. Even after all of that, I still don't see it the way you do...........Only time will tell. We still have to get through Football season. Do you play football for the Sharks as well as basketball?
  21. 24-1A Basketball should be just as fun and interesting to watch as 23-1A Football this year. As much as I don't want to pick HD to win the district, you have to give them the edge. HD should have a large Senior class this year with several good athletes. I believe they graduated 3 starters last year, but their six, seven & eight man played well last year. Spurger had an outstanding year and have that success to build on, but they lost a few key players and also a good Coach (Good Luck next year Coach). You can't count them out of the race, but they will be in a battle all year trying to keep up the pace from the previous year. West Hardin will play hard as well this year, Copeland needs someone to step up and compliment him on the court. He is an outstanding player, but with the lose of the big guys underneath he needs some experienced help on the court. Sabine Pass will be descent. I don't know exactly how many seniors they lost last year, but I know the big guy in the middle will leave a hugh hole to fill as well as the three point shooter. Evadale & High Island have nothing to lose this year and everything to gain. Both teams will bring excitment & enthusiasm to the court with high hopes of competing for the championship.
  22. Gas prices are sure to go UP....UP.....UP!!!
