It is actually Disrtrict 25-1A. I will have to agree with Bobcatfan on the predictions.

Friday night match up between WH & BS will be very good game. After watching both teams play, I feel they are very talented, evenly matched, well coached and move up & down the court very well. Everyone on this message board will have to agree that the home team will have the advantage in this game. It could go either way tomorrow night, I just wish I could be there to watch it. Good Luck to both teams, tomorrow night and in the playoffs. I really enjoy watching good basketball and each time I've seen both teams play they were first class. Parents & fans should be proud. Represent the district well!!!!!!!!!!

Soriano would be a great addition to the Astros, but if you don't watch football on turkeyday what else are you going to be doing? Yes it is a sad day for the High Island Cardinals. As a lifelong member of the community and very strong supporter of the Cardinals, I have to say that this was not an easy decision for the Coach/AD. We went into this season with very high expectations. Those expectations were put onto a very young and in-experienced team with only two returning starters from last season. The Cardinals are left without a Senior to take the field Friday night. Both 1st & 2nd string QB & 4 running backs are all injured. Without them, we would not have the skilled position players on defense either. Coach Cauthern had to make a very tough decision not to play the game. There is no doubt in my mind that he made the right choice. As for WH, I wish those boys the best in the playoffs. No they will not be able to make up the game, but they will get another weeks rest to make sure all is ready for post season. Go Cardinals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well duke, I guess you were to busy giving High Fives in the Bleachers to really notice what happens when the officials were sorting through the kids while spotting the ball. I guess those darn BLEACHER CREATURES were restricting your view. The Sharks were ready for this one, they were amped. They played a hard nosed game. I hope the boys get the so called repremands that they deserve. If you had been as close to the game as you said you were, then you know exactly what I am talking about with the taunting. Don't act like it didn't happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You know that I know what I am talking about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Sharks will have to play with the same intensity next week to beat the Rebels at home. Great job kicking the ball last night CAlmond20. Tell #12 that he did a great job with the CHEAP shot last night. Blow to the back of of the helmet while clipping and it was 40 yards behind the play. Is that something that he came up with on his own or What? There where so many shots just like that, it looked like ya'll worked on that in practice.

All the talk about the D-ville Backfield lately, sounds like they should have used them a little more instead of throwing the ball.

Hey Coop, I have to give it to the sharks. They whipped us up & down the field. I will tell you this, Sabine Pass will not beat Evadale next week. They have some pretty good athletes, but lack the discipline to play a clean football game. I guess some things can be controlled by a coach and some things can be allowed by a coach. It all depends on the kind of program you want to have. I have not seen so much taunting and celebration in a High School football game since the 80s. The officials had no control of the situation. I guess they got caught up in the hype also. Games like the one I saw tonight are the reason rivalries are made. I now remember why the games between High Island & sabine pass mean so much. High Isalnd is still way ahead in the Win Column. Its all good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Evadale by 21

This will probably be the most exciting game in football on Friday night. Atleast for High Island & Sabine Pass. There will be alot of emotion on & off the field. As a graduate of High Island & a parent of a Cardinal football player, I am really excited about this game. Most of you die hard High School football fans can understand a long time rivalry. This weeks game will have 20 years of anticipation all balled up into 1 game. Win or lose, it is good to have Sabine Pass back into the District. If this game is as close as some think, the Cardinals will win this one. I think the Cardinals will win by 2 Tds. 26 - 12. Good Luck to the Sarks. GO CARDINALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It will be a toss up this year. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

At times like this, I am glad I live on a Salt Dome 32 ft above sea level. I hope all is well for everyone in Southeast Texas.

Some of the ones doing the trash talking will read the post and wonder who the poster was talking to and the others won't even finishing reading it.

Hull Daisetta has a big full back who runs hard. They have plenty of speed, but they can be beat. I think it will be a good game between Wh & HD. Evadale porbably has the upper hand for the third spot, but we will give them all they want next Friday night. Good Luck with the rest of district.

Has anyone heard anything from Sabine Pass?

If anyone hears anything, please give an update as you find out. They where supposed to kick off at noon.

Sabine Pass is trying to build a Football Program. The kids in Sabine Pass deserve the same opportunities that every other kid in Texas do with regards to football. With proper coaching and hard work by the Athletes, the Sharks will get better. From what I understand, they have a good coaching staff, and the kids obviously want to win or why else would they be playing. They want to compete in UIL district play. Playing a JV schedule won't cut it if your trying to better yourself. Nobody wants to lose! They will be alright. Keep up the good work Sharks. Good Luck against the Oilers!!!!!!!!!!
