  1. It sounds like it. Looks like you can win in WH even with the officials.
  2. Please post updates, everything posted over the last few days has been lost due to technical difficulty.
  3. Need updates, everything posted over the last few days has been lost. Any help will be appreciated.
  4. A much improved team over last years squad. The Coach is working hard with the boys and they are beginning to listen. Mental mistakes late in the game is an area that they will overcome as the season moves along. Go CARDINALS!!!

  6. Mr Reality, you are very correct in stating that more than one of us are doing something right. Any time that a parent can devote his time to support their child in anything that they do, is doing something right. As you stated earlier, I too have enjoyed watching these boys play against each other over the past few years. To every Senior player in our little district in SouthEast Texas, I would like to thank you as well. I know some of your names, I have shaken almost everyone of your hands at some point during the last few years and I have enjoyed watching each one of you on the field, court, diamond and track. Win or lose, you guys have given your all for your teams and have made your schools proud. Good Luck the rest of your Senior year. I am sure that I will see some of you on the bball court soon. Continue to give it all you got! Roger George "The Cardinal Fan"
  7. Sounds like it will be a hard fought game. Lets go Rebels!
  8. This only makes sense. I do not understand how some may think this waters down the education process or how this moves things back to the way it used to be. Student Athletes achieving success on the field of play or court and in the class room is a compliment to the Student Athlete, Teachers & Coaches. Such success should be encouraged by all school administrators. The Article makes this out to be a football issue and it is really a Student Athlete issue.
  9. Good Luck to Evadale, Hull Daisetta & West Hardin this week. I hope to see each team advance to the 2nd Round. Each team in the District was affected by Ike this year, from high water to high winds and each team overcame the adversity to finish the season. Everyone on this forum loves their home team and their Pride has shown through. HD 55, keep on loving your HD Football. Great post earlier.......you big softy! ;D ;D ;D
  10. Saw the collision, but if I remember correctly, everyone got up and kept playing. No one had to drag anyone off the field. I believe they call it football and it is all part of the game.
  11. Thanks iwonsee, yes the boys understand what took place this year. They have nothing to be ashamed of. The easy thing would have been to not play this season, but they showed a lot of guts and determination with wanting to finish the season. 80% of the boys on the team did not get to go "home" tonight after the game. Some are still living with friends, relatives, teachers & coaches. Some went back to stay in a hotel or RV with their family. The parents of the players made hugh sacrifices in order for them to get back together as a team. I want to thank each and every one of the parents for doing so. Go CARDINALS!!!
  12. HD Bobcat 55, is your nickname RICHARD ??? Yes, we know Who the best team in the District this year is, Evadale! I want to wish the players of District 23A Good Luck next week and safe travels to and from the game!
  13. To the Fighting Cardinals, I Love you guys and am very proud you. To Tiner, Colt, Donald & Tray, you guys have made me very proud over the last four years. You will always be remembered as the "Four Horseman" in my heart. Hold your heads up high, you will remember these games for the rest of your lives. You younger guys get into the weight room and get stronger. Pick up the slack next year and play hard. You will always be "A Force To Be Reckoned With". To Tiner Ray, I can remember when I graduated high school and then returned to watch the home team play. I always got the urge deep inside to want to get another shot on the field. Then you started playing sports in Jr. High, the urge was replaced with a sense of happiness in knowing that I found more joy in watching you play than I ever did when I actually played. I Love you and I only want you to have success in what ever you do. You have made me proud as a Father and as a Cardinal Fan over past few years. You have lead your team with spirit and conviction this year and I applaud your efforts on the Football field. The next season will start for the Cardinals next week, so go get after it on the bball court. Go CARDINALS!!! The Cardinal Fan
  14. HD man handled the Cardinals this afternoon. Good Luck next week against Mart. Make District 23A proud.
  15. Deweyville is a very small 2A school. It will be tough for them to compete no matter who the Coach is. The Pirates beat their smaller opponents this season rather easily. IMO, we as parents or fans should encourage the players to play the game for the TEAM and not for any other reason. Deweyville loves football, no one can deny it. I don't think this thread will have any positive feedback for you. I think you might need to rethink your line of questioning. You might want to sit little Johnny down give him a talking to. You know what they say about KARMA, it might come back and get you.
  16. I feel your pain HDBobcats9, I am working nights on a TA at Rohm and Haas, Deer Park and hope to get some sleep in the morning before the game tomorrow afternoon. I wish the players of both teams luck and want to again send out prayers to the Gilmore family. Go CARDINALS!!!
  17. I hear you there about the sports cream. Just wait until you are 45 and they are throwing the ball even harder.
  18. You got to see my family in the videos, my son #10 and my wife and daughter were interviewed. I was the large on walking with my daughter in the second video. By the way, we are getting old! Even though I don't feel like it on most days.
  19. First let me say that our thoughts and prayers go out to the Gilmore Family. HD, good luck Saturday afternoon. The Cardinals are expecting the Bobcats to be hitting on all cylinders and are ready for the challenge. The Motto "A Force To Be Reckoned With" will be in full swing Saturday afternoon. I know that when HD thinks of the Cardinals, they think that it will be an easy victory with no worries. We don't want you to think any different this week. Come on Down to High Island Saturday afternoon and lets play a good hard nose game of football. The Cardinals have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Even though HD already has a spot in the playoffs, you know that the Cardinals are going to give you more than you want. This game will be a good one. Go CARDINALS!!!
  20. Great Post LR1969, I hope those that read it truly understand what you are trying to say.
