its not about having a back bone its about helping kids. coaches get to caught into winning so much they forget the real reason they became a coach

So knowing a kids background and family history, you would really kick a kid off the team that only has basketball to keep him outta trouble? Being a coach you get caught up in sticky situations and who do you protect the program or that kid? "Protecting the kid" in short run usually does just the opposite over time. It teaches him that he can get by without conforming and that usually encourages more bad behavior. by then the kid would be in jail. please stay outta the coaching world...lol..sounds like you rather take care of a program than take care of a kid...good luck...lol I am not a coach and never will be first of all!!!!!!!!!!! But the team is my concern first, then the individual players on the team. One bad apple can spoil the entire basket. Or one thug can ruin the entire team. Take it how you want, but if I have a bad apple (regardless of how good he is) then he is GONE!!!!!!!!!!! when it come to certain palyers at Ozen. you will not get rid of them. believe me. people of higher poweer wont let it happen

Ozen will always get the premier athletes in beaumont because of family tradition but how many of them will last. I think they will win district again but not to far in the playoffs. with the incoming freshman in a few years they go be nice

i understand decarlos good but he is uncoachable. thats the end of story. if he makes a whole week of practice i would be surprised

so you think he'd kick decarlos off the team?? No, I think he would bring Decarlos around to be a TEAM player within the Joubert system. the only way you can bring that kid around to being a team player is if the sky turns pruple.

Man DickieV jumps my case all the time but he has a right to his opinion and I respect that. He is correct, there is a world outside of SE Texas. And for those that has experienced that know how much our programs in SE Texas is missing. DickieV do your thing but just know I'm gonna make a post that will get your attention. Okay I'm just curious, but what type 9difference)of players are at Ozen vs Kountze? kids that are dedicated to the program versus kids that think they are to good for the program and want to do what they want

heck no..thats why i say Saveat is cuz he know the kids there and just from the stories i hear i would probably committ suicide...lol..somebody that has never had kids like that would be thrown into fire

It was not a blowout, they just got beat....its basketball, it happens...BTW don't hold your breath on that recommendation, cause its not happening! nothing to do with coaching changing..lawd..chill. im not coming home no time soon..im talking during the game is there anything they could of did different to win the game. Man are you serious. Why go to Ozen where they are known for going somewhere in basketball? Why not go to a school that actually need players to build your own legacy at a different school,like a Central or a West Brook. And you can't blame the coach every time a team loses. Way to fight Jags. See you next year
