It's why take the chance of getting hurt and not being able to play baseball at the next level or beyond. I haven't seen this young man play baseball that much ,but if he is that good then this could be a carear for him.

Lots of time recruiters ask you not to play other sports besides like track or powerlifting, non-impact sports. If he really did commit to UT for baseball then he's elite good. Most time you only have about 10-15 full scholarship players on a baseball team and most of those are pitchers. The other kids went to A&M because UT and Guirrido didn't offer, those programs are on two different levels. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Denny plays second so that means he could have just as well gotten drafted and went to the minors depending on the signing bonus offered. No way I would let him risk a torn acl for something that doesn't matter after next year. [/quote] I have watched every game that Livingston has played with the exception of the Nederland game because of prior engagements that night. Livingston defense is not horrible at all, they made to tweek a few thing but horrible they are not. I know you stated that you are gathering your information from hearsay or second hand. But if you really want to watch the defense go to polkcountytoday.com and the editor usually has highlights of the football games on there. That is if you want to form your own opinion than relying on someone else's. The defensive front has come a long way since the begining of the season #58, 76, 34 and a host of others do excellent in containing offense in my opinion. But I guarantee you if #58 0r #34 get loose in that backfield the QB will be seeing the stars in the sky! LOL  The team as a whole has improved over the season. Do I think they will go past the first round? Yes. But ultimately it is the team that has fewer penalties and turnovers that wins. Ok I just went and look through the chronicle again and found that you might as well throw out the stats they are keeping for Livingston  ;D No stats for Ozen or College Park game and the Central game shows no penalities for either team ;D Now we will have to wait till tommorrow to see what this Livingston team is made of ;) They played Nederland tight, so I'm expecting this will be a very good game.

Austin only got the ball 12 times and Riordan asked Aston not to run. The first designed play where the qb could run wasn't called until the first district game with BH. Even still with that the only put up 21 points and basically got shutout the last three quarters once the D adjusted. Hopkins isn't the game breaker Walter is but he's bigger and great at finding 5 or 6 yards. Still think Collins is the key here. Stop him and Livingstion is going to have a long night. Last year with Ozen we stopped thier stud RB dead in his tracks ,but they had a QB who could throw the ball and that was our beginning to that end :'( I trust that the BH D will limit Mr. Collins and take care of business on the offensive side. 1 more day and it's game time!!!

Carranco is good ,but not superman. During the BH game he was outshined by our kicker big time! Carranco had a horrible game agsint BH the last two years. Still rooting for Dayton, but throwing out a little reality ;)

The only one that can bring any real information to this topic is Trocket ;D I know Trocket has been to at least 3 BH games this year ;) I for one have not seen Livingston play a down of football so all i have to go by is what i can read. Oh and PS BH has 5 backs as well , so this is just not the Denny /O'neal show. Livingston has 5 Guys who have scored TD's this year while BH has had 15!!! yes i didn't typo 15 guys scored TD's this year ;D
