I think the BH D will hold SC to much lower scores then they have been used too. I do think that SC will be the best Offense that BH has gone up against this year though. This will be a great test for the BH D can't wait to see the game.

I'm just glad it didn't happen closer to the playoffs like Dennys freshman year when he went out with a broke collar bone a week or two before the playoffs which we lost by 7 to PNG :(

[/quote] Boy feb you like to twist things to make it look like we are dogging Gigout don't you ::) I'm sure the Gigout family would agree that if he was better than Denny then Denny would be our #2. It's not a knock on Gigout he came in with great poise and played his heart out,but he isn't in every game at QB like Denny is and has been for the last 3 years. Denny is a very good player and to act like he can be replaced is foolish. When Denny went out the play calling gets limited to try and not put to much pressure on the back up in a game with pressure allready there. We would have thrown the ball a lot more with Denny in as well as more option plays becase Denny runs the option very well.

I think I might go ;) I'm curious to see what the BH D does with SC. With Denny out though I can't see a win for the Eagles :-\ and this is not a knock on Gigout as he is a good QB ,but Denny is just a great athlete and with out him running that offense it just doesn't look the same. However I'm sure the coaching staff will build this weeks game plan around our situation and come out swinging.

Well folks off the bed got more football in the morning :) Dayton has a week off to rest and prepare! come on out to Humble Thursday night and see what the Eagles can do against SC.

Not sure if it was a designed play or if it was broken up , but I thought he was going to roll out and throw the ball ,but it looked like he was going to run. anywho a big pile up occured and he was in the pile and hoped of the field.

[/quote] I disagree. The clock was your friend. With only 1:25 left (I think around that), who cares if they get a first. I've never seen a D line up like that at almost midfield. There was one corner on WR and the rest were inside the tackles. When your playing a team like Dayton with speed, I'm giving you the middle and holding the outside on that play. The QB did run to the line, but then bounced outside and there was nobody with 15 yards of him. I think it was a bad defensive call, but heck I'm only a fan. [/quote] My thought on the play was to try and stop Dayton from getting a first down, becase they have the best field goal kicker in the state with the wind to his back. You give up a 1st down then the play book opens up and they have 3 more opprotunitys to get the ball in FG position for Caranco (sp). Chambers went up the middle and got pushed back the broke the play if (if if if if) an arm would have got around him then its 4th down. Don't think giving up the 1st down was the answer, but it bit us in the butt. also Dayton had 3 time outs left. This was not a designed play.

[/quote] Yep, Can't blam the Refs in this one. They did a pretty good job officiating the game. Denny being out is what killed BH on offense and he is also our Punter, but Thames did a good job punting in back up tonight as well as nailing two field goals to keep us in the game till the end.

Great Defensive battle by both teams tonight. Congrats to the Bronco's on finding a way to score and win the game. I thought it was going to come down to a Carranco FG attempt,but BAM busted play and Dayton scores. BH's starting QB left with 5 minutes left in the first quarter to what looks like an ankle issue. They tapped Denny up ,but he still couldn't walk on it :( Hope Denny recovers soon and wish he could of lead the Eagles tonight. Our Back up QB Gigout played with great poise tonight he had a couple of mis ques, but comming into a huge game like this and performing like he did was great IMO. O'neal really played smach mouth tonight and Dolan was just an animal. This is the adjustments that BH had made on D from the Crosby game that Dayton was making fun of during our smack a-thon this week ;D Great game Eagles get heathly and take it to SC next week.

Well folk its getting that time and this years smack-a-thon went 31 pages to last years 26 and that was without Tyrone!!!!! if Tyrone would have been here this year 40 pages easy..... Now for the mushy stuff that I'm not known for ;)  I do hope for a safe and injury free game tonight, both of these teams will need everything in stable to keep SC from taking OUR district title. This game will be full of energy and kids that just love to play football. I'm glad to have Dayton as an opponent and can't wait to see that huge crowd across the field cheering!
