If Gage wins will that make him a better coach than Price NOOOO. CEK beat BH when Price was head coach by a pretty good margin. I think this will be a good well coached game on both sides, may the best team win 8)

He makes good players better and makes everyone else around feel like they are a part of the team. BH does not have as much raw talent as most of the larger schools in our district but we win due to the committment and character of the parents, students, and coaches. Coach Gage even works in the concession stand when there is a need during the basketball season, something Coach Price would have never done. Coach Price was aloof and just seemed to be going through the motions his last couple of years. It was time for him to move on to a school with lower expectations. Hence, C.E. King was a logical move, shy of retirement. He was probably shown the door at HF because they wanted to win also.  Sad :-[ [/quote] This ^^^^^^

They still put almost 40 in their playoff loss last year, they just have a problem with elite speed. Crosby is 3-5 last 5 years in the playoffs, I have a hunch next 5 will be different under the new coach though. Takes time to get kids to buy in. I know one thing, y'all better not lose to them twice in a row 'cause that would mean Dayton has a problem dealing with Gage's system. I'm willing to bet to a Barbers Hill fan that's almost as good as a playoff win. Crosby is not lying about thier D folks. BH moved the ball pretty well in the first half then they adjusted at half time and BAM BH was in 3rd and long the rest of the night. If Crosby teaches #15 how to catch the long ball it will be tough to stop them. Dayton should have better speed than BH and contain the corners a little better on D, so that will help keep them in check.  This should be a great game!!

I predict Crosby wins then 40 Dayton posters disappear ;)

Hope all of the Price clan comes back after this game to eat thier crow. You guys once handed him the keys to the city of HF after his opening season win over Splendora to watch the next 9 games go down with an "L". 2 years later. 3 wins and here we are. Oh and HF is winning now hmmmm 8)

Only one of those turnovers really hurt us though. instead of finishing off the drive and going up 24-7 BH fumbles on the 30 then Crosby comes back and scores making it 17-14 :'(

[/quote] It did get clearer this week didn't it???? We learned that 1.) BH will not win district 2.) Crosby is no joke 3.) Summer Creek looking like the front runner 4.) I know all of the Dayton fans are hoping that BH just isn't any good vs. Crosby just being an ok team. After this week we will get a clearer picture. If Dayton beats Crosby then BH is fighting for the 4 spot, but if Crosby takes it to Dayton then i say Dayton, KP and BH will be fighting for the last 2 spots. Crosby and Summer Creek will play for district next week IMO

CE King has played pretty good. Lost to Coldsprings by a TD, but so did Lamarque. Lost to Richmond foster by a couple of TD's but so did Brenham :o Put up good points on a very weak Porter, but still did well. This could be a very good game.
