On Tuesday, March 20, around 1:30 a.m. while on patrol and checking businesses a Mont Belvieu officer noticed that some of the sheet metal had been pulled away from the back of the [b]Dollar General Store[/b] in the 11400 block of Eagle Drive.  Upon entry it was determined that the video and alarm system had been disabled and that the safe had been cut into and money was taken. On Tuesday March 20 around 7:30 p.m. a 24-year-old white [b]male out of Dayton [/b] was arrested for shoplifting at the Thrif-tee Food Center in the 10900 block of Eagle Drive. He was arrested for theft (class C) and placed in the city jail.
