  1. Also to note J-Rod only had a couple of sequences then they sat him the rest of the scrimmage. The other RB did ok though.
  2. New Caney is picked to place 7th in their 9 team 6A district and return 7/6 from a team that went 5-5 last year. BH is picked to place 3rd in their district and return 7/5 from a team that went 9-3 last year making it to the area round of the playoffs. These teams used to be old district mates until the New Caney area exploded taking them to 6A and spawning 2 more schools. New Caney looks to return their QB and other pieces to potentially make them better than last year. BH returns most of the O line and RB from last year with some key receivers back as well however they graduated their QB and will have a new QB1 at the helm. BH defense returns some key pieces as well but will need some reps before this team can jell. I'm picking BH to win this one at home, but I'm sure it will be a shaky game for both teams.
  3. BH Vs Shadow Creek Shadow Creek scored 21 to BH's 0. The entire scrimmage was controlled and only the 1st teams moved the ball and scored. BH had a good opening drive down to the 20 then got picked in the endzone. Shadow Creek is picked to win their 6A district and returned 9 on O and 8 on D from last year. Overall, it was a good Scrimmage BH has some good size on the line and QB1 threw it pretty well, but his legs and size is what's going to make him good. QB's couldn't run during the scrimmage though and he had a ton of opportunities to head up field. BH defense broke 3-4 times which is where SC scored, so that will need some work.

  5. I heard it was more like a spectacle than a show 😂
  6. Oh yeah can’t forget the monsoon. Everyone in the area canceled, but PAM said heck no that will kill BH’s air attack ….Lets Play 🤩.
  7. Did. Mention we return our O-line and J-Rod at RB 💪😎☝️
  8. That’s a good thing then. Holdren gave us a multi dimensional look while Fuentes was a great passer. Defenses won’t be able to just drop back in coverage with Zeke. Insert true option with J-Rod and that could be something ✌️
  9. I guess. From an outsiders view I see an inexperienced O-line, a new QB and a 5 star RB graduated. Seems like a steep hill, but with a good defense y’all should be in games regardless. The only comparison I have is from last year to go by Lufkin lost to MN 46-39 BH beat MN 43-21
  10. No idea. DC has the QB listed as Zeke Cantu , but not sure. I did watch a big kid last year during blowouts that was killing DB’s when he got through the line though. I’m hoping to get up there for the Shadow Creek scrimmage on Friday to see for myself.
  11. It’s ok, I hope the Beaumont schools figure it out. It will make us all better.
  12. Lord Soulja on the sauce.🤣 I think I have said before that I’m not sold on Lufkin. They are getting tons of love because of the potential of how good their defense is, but that offense is going to need lots of work. PAM on paper should be the best team in district, but BH showed they can play with em. Ball is an unknown and may surprise in district while the Beaumont schools will be better dropping to 5A. My predictions are PAM BH Lufkin Ball United Westbrook Sterling
  13. BH plays all 6 A’s in pre district and the unknowns for BH are how fast the QB and defense come together. Optimistically I think we could enter district 2-2, but wouldn’t be shocked to be 1-3 or 0-4 . My picks New Caney- Win Manvel - Loss Deer Park - Loss Foster - Win
  14. I think we’re deep there. The question marks for BH will be at QB and the defensive secondary IMO. How fast these area’s grow will determine how good BH is this year.
  15. Bud isn’t wrong on the Porter and Playoff game. It was embarrassing and should have never happened hopefully they fix that this year. Anyway this is a Crosby thread and hope they can stop the Drama and get back to where they were.
  16. Very possible. BH has a good offense group returning minus the QB, so it all depends on how fast the QB can get up to speed. He will have a good O-line, receivers and RB to work with. On Defense I think the line will be solid, but the LB’s and DB’s will have to grow fast. Injuries will be huge this year as I think depth will be a concern.
  17. Damn well make that four 6 A teams. And 6 A scrimmage 😎
  18. You ain’t kidding BH starts the year with a scrimmage of 6 A Shadow Creek then opens the season playing three 6A schools consecutively before finishing out with 5A Foster! Then open district with Lufkin on the road 😳. If BH can stay healthy through that stint we will definitely be battle tested.
  19. GB has been in a horrible district , but you right we shouldn’t sleep on them. I think it was Buddy that said there will not be an undefeated team in district this year and I agree with that as well. BH has to play Lufkin, PAM & GB on the road, so we have the toughest road to hoe. It’s going to be a fun fight up top 😊
  20. Elite maybe good I agree. They lost to McKinney North last year by 7 then BH beats MN by 21 just 4 weeks later. I guess we will see what the hype is, but Lufkin seems to be an annual underachiever with average coaching and a plethora of athletes. Losing a great RB from last year and starting a new QB with an inexperienced o-line just isn’t adding up.
  21. I’m not that high on Lufkin just yet. I know defensively they have the talent to be the best in the district, but the jury is still out on the offense IMO. They got a new QB and a young inexperienced o-line from what I have read. Also didn’t they have a 5 star RB and couldn’t make the playoffs? Lufkin will make the playoffs for sure, but don’t see them challenging for a DC.
  22. How does this even work? Will he now have to sit out this year in Crosby or can he play? Never got to see him play ,but he looks the part. Looking forward to the BH QB this year he must be pretty good to sit this kid down.
  23. I’m not dropping BH out of contention just yet. It all depends on how well the QB does and he will have good support in the backfield with J-Rod toting the rock. BH does have a lot of holes to fill, but they have a lot of kids in the program to do it. PA has to live up to that 10 ranking and be consistent to get that top spot, but like most years they have the players to be very good. Lufkin also has the talent and should be a defensive machine this year, but will the offense jell enough to get them much needed playoff run? G-Ball is a tough read coming from a weak district, but they will compete.
  24. BH website showing a 1 game playoff with Lake Belton Friday @ 6:30 in Navasota
