WTF!! This District is blowing my mind this year!! We are looking like 20-4A ;D ;D 19-4A teams better bring it each game or they will be sitting home during the playoffs this year

Just got back from the game and the Eagles did a great job! One mistake and it ended up in a 70 yard pick 6 by CEK! Can't wait for some better competition and the way the GP is playing we still have another week. GCM playing well and so is Crosby should be a good race to the end

CongratsTo GCM!!!! Yall seem to be peaking at the right time! Dayton I don't know whats going on either its like after the BH game yall have just quit!! Not a lot making sense in this district right now. BH beats dayton by 7 GCM beats yall by 27 and GCM loses to CEK then BH beats them by 28!!!! And then you have the 42 point beat down of Lee by BH and Lee takes yall to the wire!! Don't know whats wrong in Dayton land ,but you better get big stu back and fast!

No reason to discuss anything but BH 's future with Coach Gage and it is looking bright!I have also said in the past that BH will always be competitve becasue of the support the community gives them! It starts in Kindergarden when the teachers at BH instill Eagle Pride in evey child at BH! I have been in this community since the 70's and there is just nothing like it! BH Pride its not about a current or past coach it's about the blue and white baby 8)

That district they are in is brutal they may want to drop and try on some 3A state rings :) man they droped over 250 students in 2 years that is a massive drop! I think the only way they stay up is if traveling becomes too expesive for the school district by dropping to 3A.

[/quote] It is fun, but man this district is boring :o Can't wait for the next two week's to be over, so we can get back to some of the better teams in our district. Last two games will be GCM and Crosby for us! I'll trade any of the undefeated seasons BH has had though for a playoff run! We havn't been past round 2 since 99' and have never ventured into the 2nd roudn of the 4A playoffs, but we have been dang close! Each time missing the win by a TD or less!

Folks there is no reason to bring up the Price debat again! Some liked him and some didn't both sides have valid arguments. Gage is here now and doing a great job, While Price is struggling at the 3 A level! Price did give WOS a game last week, so that should be a bright spot for hope at HF. Back to the CEK thread! Don't give a crap about debating who is the better Coach 8) BH is gonna skin a Panther this week!

He coached a game from 30yds down the sideline from the players. I think he was burned out the last couple of years he was here and was just giong through the motions. His teams won because for the most part he had good coaches working for him and the dedication of the kids to work hard. Coach Gage brought in a new crop of young coaches with a lot of enthusiasm. Coach Bruce Taylor stayed with BH and no one has more enthusiasm than him. Coach Gage did the right thing by retaining Bruce. Gage  is not only a motivator but a very good technician of the game. Play calling, execution of the clock, etc. He is the real deal. He is also very friendly and accessible to the parents. BH is blessed with a great senior class of players this year also. There may be some drop off next year but coach Gage will find a way to win. He is building the program from the bottom up. He also plays the 2nd string when we have a comfortable lead which gives those boys experience and keeps everyone happy. Price never did that. He would play the starters until the last play even when winning by a huge margin. Our quarterback, Chris Daniels, tore his ACL late in the 4th quarter one year and lost a full ride scholarship to rice. We had a big lead in that game when it happened. We are lucky to have Coach Gage and all he brings to the team and school district. [/quote] Good post 8)

BH NED Livingston [/quote]The last team playing has the best season.  When Crosby beat Dayton, they ended up watching Dayton play two more playoff games.  Who had the better season?  Just checking out the brackets, it looks like BH will square off against Brenham in round 2.  Nederland looks like it will be in the Pearland Dawson side of the bracket, they will play in round 3.  BH and Nederland will be underdogs in both those games (not saying they can't win, but they will be underdogs).  If Livingston doesn't stumble again, they will be the 1st seed in division II, they will be favored going into round three where they will play Manvel, who will probably end up getting beat by Dawson.  24-4A had all four of their teams playing in the regional round, the route through Houston will go through that district. [/quote] Not that this happened but if Dayton plays Tarkington in Round 1 and Crosby plays Brenham and loses. that doesn't mean that Dayton had the best season just the easier road. The head to head between Dayton and Crosby decided who the better team was.
