I'm sure they would be if they were in 20-4a.
That's the point I was attempting to make.
With all due respect, Barbers Hill is a middle of the road team at best.  Beating Lumberton this year is no great feat.  Haven't gotten to see Big Ned play yet, but I don't thimk they are bringing the pain this year either.  Get you some of the boys from Central and tell me what you think.  BH can make the playoffs, but they are not the best team in any district...theirs or 20-4a.
Ask them what happened the last time they faced the Jaguars from Beaumont.
Jags won by 3 points and we were on the 20 yard line when our ex coach decided to go for an endzone shot over a field goal ;D Also beating a predicted last place team(Galveston Ball) in there district by 17 isn't much to brag about. Santa Fe is ranked above Ball and we beat them 34-0 while allowing only 56 total yards for the game. If we are middle of the road then you guys are sharing the center lane with us ;D
How do you know how that district will finish?  Those guys have not played one district game yet.  Besides, there were several TD's left on the field by Central Last friday night Vs. Ball.
I don't know how they will finish just giving you thier pre season predicted finish in that district. By the way the site poll has BH at 7 and Central at 14  ;D
So what?  What does that mean?  When we played, The Ant Mound was undefeated district champs and lost to a 3rd place Jag team in the playoffs.  Just food for thought. 8) 8)
It means that through the collective minds off the smartest moderators in southeast Texas the conclusion is that Central is half as good as BH ;D ;D 8) You know you voted for us just admit it ;D
I actually did pick yall higher than my Jags, and deserving of it.  Y'all are playing lights out.  I can't hate on that.  My Jags have been playing sub-par.  It's about how you finish.  Just watch us around season's end.  We'll be in the upper tier of the polls!  8)
Much respect to you for giving BH a little credit ;D They are playing pretty good, if we can just limit our mistakes we can make an impact on the playoffs this year. impact = getting the heck out of round 1 ;D

 5.
BH defense is the key, no doubt.  Specifically our coners and safeties need to have at least 2 interceptions, which convert to points.  We can't allow 7-9 yard passes on third-down.  Linebackers need to knock Herrera into the next county as often as they can catch that little sucker.  After all that, stick fingers in eyes, talk about mamas, knee them when their down, step on their hands, and any other highly legal and very sportsman-like effort we can think of.  ;D
I predict  atleast 4 personal fouls in this game as well and an ejection or 2 8)
 6.

Has anybody on here seen bh and dayton play this year besides me. I saw bh play on our biweek and there is no way bh wins this game. Im guessing most people on here predicting a close game have not seen both teams play. Brenham fan went out on a limb saying it would b closer than last year considering we won by over 50 I would have to agree
I'm not predicting who I think will win, b/c I haven't seen either team play. but many on here look at records, yards for/against, points for/against during the preseason and don't take into consideration who the opposing team played against. ...and no, I'm not just referring to Dayton fans or BH fans. I realize it's our only current measuring stick, but too much weight is put on it. One's opinion holds a lot more weight if you've physically watched both teams play (this year). Otherwise, it's just 'Smack Talk'! (which is fun, no doubt). Is The Hill for real? The jury is still out...but lookin' good-IMO.  ;D
Well put! I think both teams realize thy have a tuff game on thier hands and it is imposible to compair the two teams with stats. Dayton has a high flyiing quick scoring offense while BH has a stout D and a ball controlling Offense. You will never see BH break 40 and only break 30 points a couple of times this year because the offense isn't about that. We hold teams to low points because we have a good D and the O holds on to the ball soo much with the 3 yards and a cloud of dust system. If Dayton scores 24 before the half then this game will be over IMO. Nederland told us the same thing and thanks to some BH mistakes they got 7 on the board in regulation! The key to the game is if Dayton can stop BH from sucking up so much time on thier Drives! You let us score thier goes 8-10 minutes of the game ;D

 21.
The Reality is BH can beat Dayton if they don't make mistakes and execute.  Problem is, our last two games offensively looked very poor.  We are making mistakes that we typically don't make and when you run this offense, every single possesion counts.  Nederland was not very good, so our poor play was some what hidden by the great defense.  Now, that being said, if we don't get our corners up on their guy and the safety does not learn to read the QB, we are in trouble against Dayton.  All they have to do it watch the film and see that 10-12 yard cushion is killing us.  I predict Dayton 30+ BH 14
Agreed! BH would have to have a perfect game compaired to a Bronco im perfect game for BH to win this year. With all that said it could happen ;D, but I'm not betting on it 8) However it will be a better game this year(God knows how it could be worse)
 22.
Late hits happen if a kid did it, then he should be penalized if the intention was deemed to hurt someone then the player should be ejected. Was he? If not the officials saw it as a late hit without intention to hurt. This is why its a 15 yard penalty, 100x it happens no one gets hurt and 15 yards are awarded, this time someone got hurt.
He was not ejected, but another BH player was in the what happened after the play! Ned I hope Raines is ok!Does anyone know his condition?
 23. No shame in this one!Of course a win would have been nice, but sounds like you took them to the wire.
 24. Just back from the game and although BH did everything they could do to lose this game they somehow won!!!! ;D By far the worst game for BH for the season. If they play like this against Dayton we will get our butts handed to us!!! Can't wait to see the stats I think the QB fumbled the snap at least 5 times tonight and the backs dropped the rock 3-4 times!! Thank God we have a good D becaus they bailed the O out all night. a win is a win ,but this one was ugly. Refs made some bad calls tonight on both sides, they were pitiful! Good game Ned we both have the week off to get ready for district! Good luck in 20-4A you guys will be in the hunt!
