People starting to realize the friendship and respect Coach Price has among his colleagues in the profession.  People are realizing the job he has done and got released.  If this could happen to a coach with a record of his accord, what is to say it will not happen to anyone else.  Just cause you can pay does not mean they will come.
blew that theory  ;D ;D ;D
 2.
From what I understand, not to take away from the tragedy of losing a child, Jessica passed away last year. The article above is outdated. Julianne and James are his surviving children and James is coming with him as offensive coordinator (worked as Hugh Sandifer's OC). Should be exciting and interesting. GO BH!!!!!!!!!!
I noticed at the Austin College site that there is David Gage, I wonder if that is his brother?? David Gage Offensive Coordinator Coach Gage enters his second season as Austin College's offensive coordinator after having spent 16 seasons at Gunter High School, including four seasons as the school’s head coach. In addition to coaching at Gunter, he has also coached at Keller, Victoria Era, Decatur and Chico and is a graduate of Texas Tech University.
 3. I hate to see any family going through that. Prayers to the Gages! Here is a link to Austin College. You can see the stats. Not a great season, but gives you some Idea things to come. College
 4. I'm excited!!! Good luck to the new coach can't wait for the season to start ;D ;D

I think he's done pretty well considering the caliber of athletes there but everyone in bh seems to think every player there is d1 material
Would some of you people quit putting every person from BH in the same category. Your statement above is totally incorrect. Thanks. I also find it very hard to believe that the current coaches are "sabatoging" the program.
I absolutely agree on both points.  Not everyone thinks like that.
No One thinks that would be the answer! It's all according to who people define as athlete's for some reason everone feals that if a player doesn't have Div I or II talent then he should be labeled as non athletic. There are athletes at BH and you do not need DIV I talent to win, it helps but no garuntee that it will get you any where. I doubt there is sabatoging going on as well and if there was they would be risking their job to do so.

Once again Diamond J....you have no clue what is goin on.  BH had 14 teams last year....  Been told by SOLID source that BH will goto round robin play next year.  Why dont you bring your team?  Oh thats right...YOU CANT HANDLE THAT PROFESSION.  So you get on a "website" and infect the masses with your clueless, classless posts.  If I remember correctly....BH beat Beaumont Central ....just like you said they WOULDNT.  Have a great day sir
I will have a great day and a great life...........you seem to be insecure as you keep calling me names......but my school as like others will not come back to the great BH Classic Tourney----what a joke and BH knows it hence the "round robin rumor" BTW do a little research on your officials during the tourney if you dare
What is your school ? Your not an HJ are you ;D
 7.
So is Gregory Poole going to resort to hiring his buddies now since his big shot turned him down?  I love y'alls taxes!!!!!
I think BH has other irons in the fire. Poole will find a coach I think all of the buddie comments were from upset Price supporters. Going after someone is West Texas is showing me that BH is looking for a top canidate not a buddy. I think they should look at the coach from Austin College I think his name is Gage or something like that. He would be a good hire IMHO.

On top of that BH gets a bye so basically gets a walk to the finals---throw in some home cooked officials and there you have it A JOKE THAT EVEN JAY AND CONAN WOULD BE TO ASHAMED TO USE
Dont you still have to beat the best team at the end to win??? if it was an easy walk to the champ game then why did they win last year???  Take your sour grapes and make some wine  ;D
 9.
I just seen Mike Leach leaving the Valero off of 565
Was he wearing a BH Shirt??  ;D
 10. Fitzhenry could be the man I would love to see this happen ;D :o
 11. Sounds like the guys are confident, nothing wrong with that ??? The first part to being a champion is to believe your one then second part is proving it 8)
 12. It was a joke about PNG guys ::) No telling why the guy is here, but I am glad to see some intrest from parts outside of BH and its surrounding counties. Keep bringing them in from afar! We need some fresh air and someone younger IMHO. No uncles, cousins , friends of friends, just a good hard working football mind that has some balls and not afraid to hurt someones feelings ;D

Who is saying this? Am I missing a thread?
There was a poster right after last season who posted that BH was going to be unstoppable in this district. He posted multiple times. More recently, BH posters have commented as though they are surprised that the non-district record hasn't translated to district. I'm pointing out why that's the case and why its not surprising.
Ahhhhhh  ;) It may be an over excited kid talking, but I don't think anyone at BH is thinking we have a shot at a State Title or that we are some world beaters ;D However we do seem to have a fair team that could suprise a team if they don't play 100%. BH has never been a basketball school (At least Boys), so anytime we have a team that is competitve it is a great thing at the Hill. I hope that turns around one day and we seem to have gotten alot more competetive over the last decade, so it just may. Good Luck BH Boys!!!
 14. Or mabe he know's the PNG coach and wants to come and coach BH to Whup em ;D

Coach Price last day was 12/31/09 , so I 'm assuming that the committe will start gathering applications this week. We're just a bunch of "tokens". If we can get our work visa's approved, we'll see ya'll on Jan. 12th. It's was not taken that way at all. They boy's have played well so far. Much better than they were at this point last year. The size on the Hill will give them fits. I've been to 3 or 4 games and have seen the good and the bad. I hope we both fill the gym and put on a good show.
It will be a good one! goodluck to the Pats

 25. Clear Springs charges by the Lady Eagles By Nathan Hague The Baytown Sun Published December 31, 2009 MONT BELVIEU — The Barbers Hill Lady Eagles fell 13 points short of winning the championship game of the Gulf Coast Classic Wednesday. The Lady Eagles lost 53-40 to the Clear Springs Chargers. The boys championship game between Barbers Hill and C.E. King was not complete at press time. A wrapup of that game and tournament will appear in Friday’s Baytown Sun. Jasmine Carter scored 13 points for the Lady Eagles Wedneday night. Kendall Shaw dropped in eight points and grabbed seven rebounds. Despite the loss, Barbers Hill Coach John Chancellor was proud of his team’s effort. “It’s a disappointing loss but we’ve got to play high level teams like this if we want to play at a high level ourselves,” he said. “The heart, energy and intensity was there tonight but we learned we’ve got to have a go-to offense. We just didn’t execute offensively.” The Lady Eagles are scheduled to return to action when they hit the road Tuesday to take on C.E. King. “It will be a real test,” Chancellor said. “It will be a good district game.” Sterling’s Lady Rangers won their last game of the tournament, defeating the Crosby Lady Cougars 54-49. Fort Bend Austin beat Little Cypress-Mauriceville 56-33 to win the championship of the girls consolation bracket. Beaumont Ozen beat Hastings 58-55 before losing to Friendswood 54-51 in the girls third-place game. As for the boys games, the Sterling boys came out of the Gulf Coast Classic with the third-place trophy after beating the Nederland Bulldogs 60-52 on Wednesday night. The win advances Sterling’s record to 13-9. Andre Corley came up big, scoring 38 points — 23 of them from the free throw line — for the Rangers. The Bulldogs’ leading scorer was Dionte Forney, who finished with 27 points. “We’re very pleased with these young men,” Sterling coach Mark Patton said. “Obviously we were hoping to play against Barbers Hill in the championship but we’ll take it. Anytime you go 4-1 in a tournament like this, it says a lot. Hopefully we can stay aggressive and keep improving. We’ll need it for district.” Before advancing to the third-place game, the Rangers beat the Dayton Broncos 71-63. Three Rangers finished in double-digits. Corley scored 27 as Williams and Karmon Glover each finished with 10 points. Sterling’s next game is scheduled for Tuesday when they take on the Woodlands on the road. The Lee boys basketball team played its last game of the Gulf Coast Classic on Wednesday, falling to Nederland 73-64. Jaevon Richardson was the high scorer for the Ganders with 12 points. “The guys work hard and it shows they really want to win,” Lee coach Trent Manuel said, “but we’re just making too many mental mistakes. We’re doing things we feel good about but keep coming up short in the end. “We were really about two minutes from a chance to go the championship game against C.E. King but the mental mistakes hurt us.” Among those mental mistakes, Manuel said the biggest is bad shot selection. “We need to get back and practice and get more comfortable with our shot selection. We’ll be OK, we just need to regroup.” Lee’s next game is set for Tuesday at 7 p.m. when the Ganders host New Caney. The Anahuac Panthers fell short in the championship game of the consolation bracket on Tuesday, losing 65-46 to the Montgomery Bears. Jordan Tarver dropped 19 points to lead his team in scoring. The loss sets Anahuac’s record to 6-10. The other Wednesday boys game involved Livingston beating Pasadena 57-52. The Barbers Hill Eagles were in the championship game against C.E. King but went it went past deadline. Check out tomorrow’s paper for the results.
