[Hidden Content] For some reason an 8 shows up as a smiley face.
Apples and oranges! Reminds me of a Sesame Street song, "One of these things is not like the others....." PNG is good, but not in the same league with the likes of Lake Travis, etc...Don't let a little "purple pride" cloud your judgement.
And You Know this how????
Question is why dont you know???? Do you think PNG can beat Lake Travis?
 2. I always love this compairing who beat who equals we win stuff ;D ;D Try this one on Dayton beat GCM by 30 something Dayton beats BH by 3 = BH beats GCM by 27? ? NOPE GCM wins by 30!!!! Or BH beats GP by 30 loses to Crosby by 6 = Crosby beats GP by 36???? NOPE GP takes them to the wire and loses by 6!!!! All of this means squat! if PNG struts in thinking BH is going to lose by 20 then they may be limping out ;D I also love how beating the crap out of Crosby is relevant in week 1 but sqeeking by BH the week before is ill relavant ;D BH has been told all year how bad teams are going to beat them, but at the end the largest margin of victory has been 6 points outside of the GCM beat down.
 3.
Here is the issue BHFan.... PN-G has gotten better each week and has the stats to back it up. Barbers Hill has not played with ANY consistency against quality opponents the entire year. Padding stats against non-contenders gets you nowhere. Turnovers have plagued them all year and that did not change right into week 10. I have a hard time seeing them come out and playing mistake free ball. PN-G has one of the best turnover margins in the entire state regardless of classification. The have the number one defense in 20-4A and a top ten defense state wide. The 20 points BH scored in week 0 or the most this team has yielded. BH better bring their A+ game and hope the NDNS help them out some if the BH fans plan on going home happy. They have not shown the ability to do that all year.
Parts of your post are very true :) Turnovers have plagued us all year, but to think they are not capable of a good game? I wouldn't put my paycheck on it. The good ole saying of "On Any Given Friday" was put together for a reason and that reason is that teams win that are not statistically supposed too. Now with that in mind the Eagles had more turnovers against any team that they played the whole season and didn't take them to over time because of a field goal (PAT). Padding our stats you could say the same for PNG as I don't think either team has played a state contender. Both teams have played well PNG has the better record because they hang on to the ball. My logic is this if BH has scored the most points against PNG all season with 7 turnovers how much could they score with 0? Will we get to see? Who knows, but I'm not ready to give PNG a first round bye because they beat 20-4A teams ;D Central will be the best team that PNG has faced since BH in week 1 IMHO.

Either one of these lack and PNG advances! I think with a week off there should be no excuses from not coming in with a game plan to win! If that means every player goes both ways then so be it! One bad game and your done starting next week! I think every coach and BH player should be attending the PNG/Central game Friday night in person!
So what kind of game plan do you expect BH to come up with.?    You sound like your lobbying for BH to play kids both ways.....  I don't know of many schools at the 4A level who play kids both ways.  Maybe a few (  Dayton does )  but Dayton is a different breed of football players.  Never seen kids get after it like their kids do. Every team comes into a game with what they hope is a good game plan.    Comes down to Execution...... Your already setting up your excuse if BH loses.  I can hear it now.........play calling stunk and the plan was flawed.  Should have played the kids both ways...
Not setting up excuses just stating an opinion after watching BH for many years in Playoff games. Your right that every team comes in with the game plan that they think will work and it does come down to execution, but when the plan isn't working you have to adjust and adjust fast! BH has players that can play both ways and with our depth being depleted over the season with injuries some kids may have too. In other words leave it all on the field, so there is no question on what coulda, shoulda, woulda helped!

 15. I think the Mods should create a timeout room  ;D this could be a different topic thread where users are banished or placed in timeout for a period of time the Mod decides. Then all of the offenders could stay in that room and do what ever they want until their alloted time them be released back on to the board. The BH fans have really showed us what really takes place West of the Trinity. Not much thinking for dang sure. Good to see that they can get all ten of their fans on here to work each other into such a frenzy where that actually believe they are going to win and PN-G stands no chance. Dam fools. A whole lot of faith for a 4th place finisher in one of the weaker districts in the Golden Triangle / Houston area. I hate to break you down with facts but I can assure you BH's one man show will not be enough to beat PN-G. Mark it down, put it in stone, publish it, smoke it, toke it. Whatever you want. 21. Who cares they PNG is playing BH in two weeks ;D ;D
 22. 12 pages and this game don't happen for 2 weeks ;D Lot of smack talking and alot of support from our district in this one!! PNG has had a great season and would have to be the favorites in this one. BH will come to play and if PNG doesn't play mistake free football then BH can take this one IMHO. I don't think that there is anything special about either of these districts. This year PNG has played very well while BH has been turnover prone! IF BH can have a good night they can play with any team in this area. We gave PNG a gift week one as we have given several gifts this year, so don't be shocked if BH is playing in round 2.

Just thought you guys may want to know that we will down one fan this week. BH EAGLE Herschel Williams class of 37 passed away at the age of 91. He is the gentleman who was always at the games with his son in law and grandson and until this year was generally about three or four rows up. This year he was in a wheel chair but still did not miss any games including the ones when he should not have been out in that weather. He got to see his last game last Friday night. He was a football and track guy at BH back in the day and got to see his Grandson play for the EAGLES in the late 80's. We will miss him but now he has the best seat in the house.
I didn't know Herschel, but know who you are talking about. He has seen alot of BH football and should be one that all BH Eagles admire for his dedication to BH! RIP Herschel and condolences to his friends and family. From the Baytown Sun Herschel was a direct descendant of Amos and Susan Barber. They were the founders of Barbers Hill, and his great grandparents. Growing up in Cove during the depression, his family farmed and raised cattle. Herschel attended grade school at Cove before transferring to Barbers Hill, where he finished High School and graduated in 1937. He played football, ran track, and continued to support the sports program throughout the years. During football season, if humanly possible, he would be there on Friday nights to root for the Eagles. He saw his last football game this past Friday night at the Hill.
 24. Voted Crosby! 24 can hit :o
