  1. I'm assuming this is the Sexton of the past brother. If so I hope he's like his brother ;D ;D
  2. Thank God football is almost here ;D ;D Can't wait to get a look at the team this Saturday against the Indians. Last year the scrimmage (Controlled) was won by Cleveland I think either 4-2 or 3-2 and although BH doesn't go out to win scrimmages I hope to see something to get an idea of what the BH team might look like this season! Aug. 15 Cleveland 7pm
  3. I'm keeping my fingers crossed ;D Goodluck to the Bronco's as well! Should be another stellar season for Dayton!
  4. Their gonna need about 10 more to be exact ;D , but outside of the players there will need to be some agressive play calling! Take some chances! It always seems that we are playing not to lose instead of to win. The run left, right , middle, punt ain't gonna get us know where in a hurry 8) I'm hoping to see some slant patterns by Carter Smith this year! I think they did that once and he must have gotten to much yards because it just didn't happen to much after that! Smith can fly to the ball!
  5. Ok you got me hanging ::)Buffaloes??? Tell me more ;D
  6. Thanks for the updates guys and keep them coming! There are a lot of hard working kids on this team and they will entertain us old farts this season for sure ;D ;D I'm looking forward to seeing how much Bradford has improved this year. Last year I though he looked pretty good out there and he had some size for a Sophmore as well as some glimpses of speed! In the scrimmage against Clevleand last year he broke one for about 70 and smoked the d-backs, but did get to see to much of that break away speed in the season. Hopefully we have some guys that can lay down some blocks this year and we can see that speed again. Any idea what Kade is running in the 40?
  7. Delusions of grandeur are fascinating things. After the Dayton beats Crosby by 35 this year (again) reality will set in. No way will reality set in ;D Crosby see's you guys as a rival ;D I don't know why because you should win every now and then to label someone as your rival ;D
  8. A SHAKE mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ;D 89 will come around i think they go too, but in 4th place
  9. Opps, That must have been the district when could win a game ;D
  10. 19-4A Chronicle Link
  11. As much as I would llove those stats to be correct, Dayton has only 9 District Titles in the last 13 years, LOL! 9 like thats bad!!! 9 !! Thats embarrassing :-[ I can't believe yall let 5 slip away! I say fire Stewart!!!! Oh and rumor is that there might be some homes real cheap at BH for Mr. Stewart and his family ;D
  12. I remember hearing similar comments went we were moved to the Beaumont district---Stewart and crew kept on winning. The difference is that the Beaumont district always think they are world beaters even after Dayton and Livingston have steped in to show that they are not the district they think they are ;D Dayton could win for the next 13 years in district 21-4A I just don't think it is a given. Although BH has had little success in 4A we did step in the year yall were gone and take the district undefeated! BH is in a down time right now, but you can bet the hill will return to the top of the pile. A lot of tradition here to just be 2nd or 3rd all of the time. This area is getting stronger and at some point will finially overcome the Beaumont area in talent. Dayton has already done ,so but i remember how long it took for the Broncos to climb that hill there will be more to follow.
  13. Great coach and great accomplishments by the Broncos. BH has only been around for 1 year of those stats along with GCM and KP. Times will be getting harder enjoy while ya can ;D ;D
  14. If BH can beat PNG and Crosby we may be a top 5 team! LOL
  15. Great pics! I feal for em 2 a days are tough.
  16. I think there is alot of respect on both sides between these teams. Both schools have a lot of history and tradition on their side most of BH's success was in 3A and 1A ,but as we grow I exspect to see the same success in 4A. I hope we keep PNG on the schedule for the following two years.
  17. They do seem to have a long way to go. I went by yesterday and it looked like they only had about 30% of it enclosed. They have till Sept. 4th to get it done. going to be close
  18. I believe it!! I went to the Lumbeton playoff game at BH and yall had our Home stands full
  19. Did he say they were going to win State this year or is that next year ;D ;D Stir.....Stir......Stir 8)
  20. BH by 10,000 T minus 610 Hours till game time ;D
  21. Private coaching job lures Coog skipper By Dave Rogers Published July 30, 2009 CROSBY — Like hundreds of area youngsters and dozens of area coaches, Marcus Thompson went away to sports camp this summer. Thompson, the baseball coach at Crosby High School, decided not to come back. The Cougars have hired Chris Wiggins away from Tarkington High School to take over what was a playoff squad last spring and Chris McKeller from Kirbyville to serve as his assistant. Thompson’s assistant coach, who is also his brother, Michael Thompson, also resigned to go into private business. Michael, who is working in outside sales for an equipment rental business in the Beaumont area, resigned at the end of the school year, roughly two months ago. Marcus Thompson said he didn’t decide until a few weeks ago to cut the strings on a coaching career the boys inherited from their dad, longtime West Orange-Stark defensive coordinator Cornel Thompson. Both Thompson brothers coached defensive backs for the Cougars. Marcus Thompson is working with former Robert E. Lee and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Clint Stoerner as a sports-specific trainer at the Next Level training complex in Little Rock. Stoerner, who has for years given lessons to young quarterbacks and receivers, played his college ball for the University of Arkansas. “I came up here and did some camp stuff in the month of June and I was offered an opportunity with his business partner to stick around and do sports-specific stuff and baseball training,†Thompson said Wednesday. “I said ‘What the hell? Why not?’ My brother had gotten another job, moved back to the Beaumont area, so I thought I’d try it out, see what the ‘Natural State’ has to offer. “I will absolutely miss the baseball team and football team, but curiosity killed the cat and I guess I’m the cat right now.†Marcus Thompson said he and Stoerner have been friends since 2000, Stoerner’s rookie year with the Cowboys. “Me and his brothers would load up and go to Dallas games and we’d get down on the sideline,†the retiring coach said. “After he finished playing, we’d fly up and see Arkansas games. “We just became good friends and started trading notes on sports-specific training. It just evolved into this deal. We’re trying to collaborate and get a big facility erected up here and get it rolling.†Kevin Flanigan, Crosby’s athletic director, said he was surprised by Marcus Thompson’s sudden career change. But it didn’t take long to find a successor in Wiggins. “He lives here in Crosby,†Flanigan said. “His family’s here. He’s done a good job where he’s at. It really worked out for us.†Wiggins has had Tarkington’s baseball team in the playoffs each of the past three seasons, winning the District 22-3A title in 2007. Crosby’s team, returning to the playoffs in 2009 after a two-year absence, went 20-11, finishing third in District 19-4A. Pitcher Jeremy Gabryszwski, named co-defensive MVP in the district, leads the Cougar returners.
